HostMonster for web hosting. I do not recommend Godaddy for web hosting only domain registration.

If I got to choose between the two solely on basis of general perception, I would choose hostmonster. But final choice depends on lot of specific requirements

I am not sure i'd recommend godaddy for domain registration, unless you get a coupon ^_^.

Well for the two, hostmonster, however HostFever.com is simply the best due to 24/7 professional US based support, 99.9% guaranteed uptime, and a money back assurance for 30 days. ;)

GoDaddy is well advertised and overpriced. Hostmonster is an overseller just like Dreamhost. The only thing you're guaranteed is canned support messages and lots of downtime on overloaded servers. The same goes for BlueHost and any other web hosting company offering 'unlimited'.

Stay away from Godaddy webhosting, I just got a webhosting account in godaddy and it's not very good at all
The only thing i liked in godaddy webhosting that they give you adwords coupon 25$ and facebook coupon 50$

    Hostmonster is the best

I have worked as administrator for many years and helping people out with godaddys server problems is almost a nightmare. HostMonster at the other side is a wonderful company to work with.

Of course my own is best! But otherwise I thruly suggest HostMonster.

Neither, both oversold and don't offer you the best service, have had clients move to me as Godaddy/Hostmonster servers have exploded literally HDD have blown up, due to Overuse so id personally say neither! Go for an undersold host!

you can look into Chime Host. They have a special going on that's only $4.95 per month and you don't have to pay for 1 or 2 years in advance.

Think of godaddy hosting just like one of those hit and run unlimited resellers...
