Are you experiencing the same problem? I can't go to domain manager. It's just too slow. Godaddy should upgrade its servers instead throwing millions of dollars for an ad in the Superbowl.
The speed seems ok to me, but GoDaddy is constantly serving up videos of its commercials. That may be slowing things down a bit, especially after the Superbowl.
I stopped using Godaddy years ago. Have you tried to clear your internet cache/history? Sometimes that speeds up things.
I had pretty much the same problem with godaddy, so I switched to hostgator recently. Haven't had any problems so far. Hostgator has some coupons floating around, so if you are thinking about switching, the one I used was GooseBumps (25% off). I think there was also a flat $10 off discount with coupon code PennySaver.
Thanks for the info Sometimes when I changes the domain server, It took lots longer than usual.. sometimes it took 1 days to get the result..
The OP is talking about domains here, not hosting. Mind you this is a few days later, GoDaddy seems to be opening up well from here. Are you still experiencing the slowdown? If so what does a traceroute show you?
It's probably the 30 pages of other products it throws at you each time you try and register a domain. I'm amazed that anyone still uses them tbh. They are cheap but certainly not the cheapest.

Well I've already said that I run a domain registrar and our prices are slightly under godaddy (but in a different currency) I'm also aware that there are other companies that are cheaper than me. You have to ask yourself not only how much is the domain, but how much will it cost me if it goes wrong so going for the very cheapest might not be the best idea.
I think I may have to argue that, I would say Hostgator takes a big piece of that market share pie Though if you had said domains it would likely be the largest.
