Well I wanted to transfer one domain I had on Godaddy to another Godaddy pal of mine. Yet I have no damned clues on how to do that. Anyone could help? Thanks in advance!
I can't help you because i don't use (and not intent to) GoDaddy but why don't you email their support, i'm sure they will reply in 24H as they say (even they reply to me in average 3 days for tdnam issues) Search also their faqs for domain push
If it is from GoDaddy to GoDaddy then it will not be a transfer but it will be a push. You can read how to make a push here: GoDaddy domain push It is a tutorial kind of thing that I wrote for my members. It will explain you how to push the domain name from one godaddy account to another.
Here you are a short-guide: Things the "sender" has to do: 1.Log in to your GoDaddy account; 2.Click on Domains->My domain names; 3.From the list of your domains, choose the one you want to push to your friend, ans then click on its link; 4.Now you're in the Control-Panel of that domain: click on the "Account Change" button; 5.Insert your pal's data (* indicates required data): pay attention to the email address, as the one you insert is the one that will receive the instructions to complete the transfer, and it HAS to be the one that your pal has associated to his GoDaddy account; 6.Check the radio buttons needed to agree with TOS, and click all the OK that they show to you. Your half of the work is done. Things the "receiver" has to do: After you'll have started the push, the way above, he'll receive an email from GD, explain' what you have to do. I can summarize it this way: 1. Login to his GoDaddy.com account and select "My Account." 2. Select "Pending Account Changes" located in the "My Account" box. (he has to look on the right half of your screen) 3. Select "Accept Account Change" (upper right-hand corner): 4.Insert the Transaction ID: and the Security Code included in GD's email 5. Proceed through the shopping cart to complete the free transaction. Pay attention: the push if FREE, but he has anyway to continue and complete the check out process (it's a check out of 0 $, off course!). GD will never ask you money for this transaction, it's simply a way to pass trough this authomated process. Note: If the Change of Account is not completed within 10 days, the transaction ID and the security code will expire. Hope this helped a bit Kind Regards
Before you can proceed, first you have to unlock the domain before can transfer out or within accounts. I've already had this happen to me twice so know it can't be done unless first unlocked. According to GoDaddy.com: If you need to transfer your domain or change accounts, you must manually unlock your domain name. It can take up to fifteen minutes to unlock your domain. To Manually Unlock Your Domain Name Using the NEW Domain Control Center Log in to your Account Manager. From the Domain Names menu, select Manage Domains. The Domain Control Center opens. In your list of domain names, use the checkboxes to select the domain name(s) that you want to unlock. Above your list of domains, click Locking. Select Unlock, based on what action you want to take for the selected domains. Click OK.
