    RewriteRule ^insurance\.html$ /?page=browse&category=3 [L]

but stupid godaddy ain't responding to the .htaccess...

    any help?

Anyone has been able to play around mod rewrite with a godaddy shared hosting server?

Close to the same question I asked yesterday...no responce :-/

I don't know if Godaddy will allow. I think I read somewhere that you have to be on a dedicated server not shared :-(

Did you upgrade from a free account? if so you will need to contact and make sure they have it enabled.

mod rewrite is enabled by default on all godaddy hosting services. From dedicated to shared..

i have a premium linux hosting account and today I got a reply from godaddy help desk with a link to apache mod rewrite info. like... ...Thank you I know that. They have the worst tech support..

Being able to make things work on Godaddy is a pain in the butt..
