Godaddy Shared Hosting - External DNS binds?

    Does anyone know if Godaddy Shared hosting prevents you from binding to another DNS server (I.E. not godaddy's) from shared hosting?

    Im trying to do this with a PHP script Im developing, but it keeps timing out.

    You can only connect out to ports 80 and 443 from godaddy shared hosting. (Tried to use an external database, failed there)
