:eek:What a surprise! If the domain yet to expired, how can it dropped to redemption period? I never know domain registrar can change the status manually!

If your story is really true.
Than you don't have to worry coz you can file a complain at Icann.
They will take action against GD if your claim is true.

I agree 100% .. moving the domains I still have with them to Namecheap.. they are a sh*t company. Thieves charged my $75 to transfer a domain from them after I had dealt with an abuse issue, and then claimed I hadn't. They got $75 from me, but lost hundreds now - great business model.

I have one host in the Godaddy, and after I buy the ssl ,the speed is very slowly. but I can't change the IP,For this I send many mail to them ,and the all said my site is right and quickly, but many customer said they hardly saw our web site .,(for refereance:www.tobeeasy.com)
So we havn't any way to ask them to get better, only change them .

raoraj - The real truth is that you are probably going to have to contact a lawyer and it is going to cost you at least $3500 to recover your domains if you can win the case. I went through this with RegisterFly a few years ago and it was easier to just forget about it and let the domains go.

The fact you used a gift card you purchased from somebody online and not your credit card or debit card is going to make your case look fishy. While I don't agree with GoDaddy dropping your domains into redeemption because of a stolen gift card, you may be able to snag them from TDNAM (Godaddy Aftermarket) or maybe you could spend $18 per domain to do the backorder.

hope things work out for you

Despite your past experiences did you call them? I'm sure if you contacted them they'd explain to you what happened or whats wrong. In my experience the staff team is always friendly, I've had casual chats with a few of them while they fixed my issue.

What was the exact response you got from them? Something doesn't add up here..... Where did you get your gift cards from???

well, if you ask me..pay the USD 160 and get your domain..filing a complaint is a lengthy procedure and you might risk losing your domain...

Well the facts are not really clear in this situation and I agree with ksb2050 - you ought to call them, wait or no wait - give them a call, find out the facts and share the facts on DP.

Also i do not recollect any instance where a domain could be moved to redemption before it expires. Give us a snapshot of the domain whois for your domains / you can hide whatever you don't want others to see, but at least we can get something meaningful from there.

    Thx

If you case is true, here is the process you should take -

IF you really want the domain back
    1. Call them and see what they say
    2. If not successful, no choice but you have to pay the amount of money. Then, you know what you should do in future.

IF the domain is not important at all and willing take the rest at lose the domain
    1. Call them and see what they say
    2. If they are not agreed to solve the problem, filed a case and complaint.

IF you dont really want the domain back, or it's not important domain for you
    1. Call them and see what they say
    2. If there are not agreed to solve the problem, filed a case and

I had a few issues with Godaddy in the past.. The only method I ever got to work was to swing by oold bobs blog and post a nasty visitor comment. I dont know who reads em, but I did it twice and both times it made them fold like a house of cards.

    You can find it here..
    http://www.bobparsons.me/

Now if I was where you I would focus entirely on them putting your domain in redemption before it expired..

    Good Luck!
