godaddy rob my domains

i had 2 domains which are going to expire on 17 june and 15 july 2009.

i renew them a few days ago with a gift card purchased on DP. godaddy renewd them for 1 year.

but after two days they cancled my domain names telling me that the gift card is not valid.

now they have put those two domains in redemption period, where they charge $80 extra for each domain.

but legaly i own these two domains until their expiration date, if my renewal got canceled they should give me more time to renew them, insted they put them in redemption period.

when i contect them via email they told me about my canceled domains and renewal process.

PLZ guide and help me on this issue, i'll be very greatfull to you guys.

I would just call GoDaddy support, they are very helpful and would be your best answer to solving this. You can get a hold of GoDaddy Live 24/7 Sales & Support at (480)505-8877.

I don't understand, if they haven't reached the expirey date yet you should be able to renew them?

Well i have read similar things happening in the past thats why i use domainsite or namecheap to register domains coz thier support is good and they dont just take decision without contacting you

    Goddady sucks big time.
First domain is not expired yet. You should have them. Second, gift card, as long as they received them the first time, there should never be anything repercussion. This is against the fundamental rule of business.

Worst case, they can only going after for same amount of money. That is the most they can do.

You should go to a court and post your stories every forum. Ban Goddady.

Report your case to ICANN. If you were the legimate owner of the domains and did use correct info on the domains, then you have all rights to claim it back...

That makes no sense that they would put them directly in redemption period when they have not even expired yet. Does the whois also say redemption period?
