Hey, I am thinking of getting a pro reseller plan from GoDaddy.com. It is $199/year and looks okay. Please help me with the following questions..

    1. Do I get all of the money from domains sold (other than ICANN fee), or do I give a certain % to GoDaddy?

    2. Can I get free domains? Or send money from a different paypal account/credit card?

    3. Does the money earned go right to my paypal account?

    4. Is there anything I should be aware of? Hidden fees, catches, anything I might want to know. Thanks! I will give you a +rep if you help me !

if i recall correctly (i never used reseller program and hate godaddy FYI):
    1. when you sell through godaddy its basic white label, they handle everything. you collect some percentage over registration costs+fees. so i think it was like 75%, and lets say your pricing is 7$. if you sell for 8$ you would get 75 cents credit(dont know how they payout or anything since i never used, probably in their FAQ)
    2. not sure what youre on about here, free domains?
    3. probably in their FAQ like i said before
    4. its godaddy, i wouldnt trust them to watch my pet brick. thats my personal opinion. ive heard stuff about them emailing your customers directly and not putting your white label on the email so essentially stealing clients, but i dont remmeber exact details. they might have claimed it was a mistake, was a long time ago

you get a percent (75 i think) of the price over their costs. so it all depends on what you charge

So let's say the domain was $10 (just an example) I would get $7.5 of it?

You will get your markup amount for the domain sale. for example if your cost on a .com is 6.99 and you are selling it for 10.00 then

    6.99
    0.22 ICANN FEE
0.25 Credit Card Fee (per-transaction/regardless of the number of domains)
    _____________
    7.46 --- your true cost
    -10.00 your selling price
    =========

    2.54 is your profit

if you are interested in a pro reseller package I can offer you that through http://www.winkdomain.com/

If you have any question let me know.

    1. Godaddy takes about 70-90% because they only give you a better buy rate.

    2. No, you cannot get free domains. You can only purchase domains at your "buy rate" which is a bit cheaper.

    3. The money earned is set at the end of each month.

    4. Yes, there is a credit card fee, godaddy fee, and a icann charge. Also you need to have your own website/domain. Otherwise you are using their subdomain host. You are only given a url like securenet.com/username/gdshop/domainnamesales. Then they expect you to redirect your domain name to that. Really doesnt look professional.

My understanding is that it is essentially an affiliate program. You promote your templated site, GoDaddy handles all $ transactions and customer service, and deposits earned commissions onto your bank account once a month. I believe commissions earned in July would be paid at the end of August.
