    Hey all,

I have a very important question. I might start my own domain re-seller business sometime from now, but one things been bothering me.. And really bothering...

Let's say a customer buys a product from my own site. I get a commission. Then at some point, like always, godaddy sends their promo discounts and the customer then navigates to their site and buys directly throught them.

The quesiton is, do they track all of my customers as long as I'm their re-seller, or are they able to "steal" my customers?

I'm new to all this and gotta ask.. Someone with experience, I would appreciate an answer, others please don't speculate, I need the 100% correct answer.

    thanks in advance,
    Alex

Just put yourself in client shoes, why you wanted to buy from GD reseller?
You can direct buy from GD directly at more cheaper price.

Actually that's not true, you can offer lower prices than godaddy's and still make a profit if you go on a higher volume.

As for the part of why buy through re-seller, well, if you target people who never had a domain/hosting before you have a nice potential clients base.

I just need to know are they able to track everything down or can they "steal" your customers.

If you want to become a godaddy reseller you have to pay high fees, better choose a domain reseller provider that offers FREE domain reseller with good prices like www.OrderDN.com :D

Yeah but they handle everything, customer support, domain registrations, an array of other products etc.. So the fee isn't that much and often I receive coupons like $30 off the price, so the re-seller fee is something like $60 per year which is not much at all..

Anyway, I've been through that all, I just need to know the answer to my question, that's the only thing that's been keeping me from becoming their re-seller.
