I checked a domain name yesterday to see if it was available. I didn’t register it, I come back today to check and godaddy has registered the domain name I checked with them. Now I highly doubt that someone else has registered the domain within a day. If Go Daddy has registered it they are one unethical company. I checked the whois address and it is the same as the Go Daddy address. Has this happened to any of you?
That's just dirty, but it doesn't suprise me. Same thing when registrar's buy up most of the descent deleted names instead of releasing them.
I often check domains that are available and they are still free months later a lot of the time. I highly doubt they will store and check every search. Some things are more likely to go quicker than others, such as names related to world events, new tv shows, etc.
