Go Daddy is raising their price on 9/30/08 . Its time to renew your domain names.

Don't Worry.... :D Write down and use these discount codes at godaddy check out so you can get still get a 30% discount on your .com renewals. I have renewed all of my domains for 2 more years each. Here are the codes:

Use CHH3 for .com domains. This will give you a 30% discount. You will be renewing your .com domains for $6.95yr. This code also works for new .com registrations.

Use CHH2 takes $5off orders or renewals over $30. Do the math and see with which code you will get more of a discount (CHH3 orCHH2)

CHH1 will get you 10% off of any order. Use this one if you don't have .com's and if your order price is under $30

    Have fun Renewing...

A price rise? At godaddy? That's ridiculous! They're competitors are already cheaper on a variety of TLDs, so why would they make their prices even more expensive?! If godaddy didn't have millions of dollars for advertising then they would be screwed right now. This is a really bad move from them, especially when 90% of the customer complaints on here are about them!

I know it seems krazy but they are still cheaper than register.com

Take advantage of the codes above and renew your domains now before the price increase...

But, if godaddy are continually raising their prices, why don't we simply go to a cheaper registrar rather than comparing them with a more expensive one. I'm personally sticking with name.com. They are cheaper and have better customer service, so I don't see why anyone is still with godaddy, just seems silly to waste your money...

godaddys trick is always to make the 1st year very cheap and then to renew it they start charging the big bucks

But the thing is, all domain registrars do that: it's to draw you in, and then if you website if doing well then of course you're going to want to renew, but godaddy isn't even cheaper for the first year. I really don't see whey they're raising their prices apart from greed (I know it's a business, but surely soon everyone will just ditch them and go somewhere cheaper?)

    Copy/Paste from the checkout page.

After thinking I have bought my domains from a local register for 8.69$, at least they provide free private registration and not charging another 10$ like godaddy.

I'm pretty sure ICANN recently upped their prices by 40 cents, so I think all registrars have had to increase their prices slightly.

I already made the switch over to Moniker. GoDaddy is far too ridiculous now adays. I like to have my domains on a registrar where I don't have to look past all the junk they try and sell. Seems like everyday they add something new and useless to the website just for money. Seriously if godaddy stopped spending large sums of money on their stupid superbowl ads they wouldn't need to be one of the most expensive registrars. There was a time when godaddy was the cheapest and most reliable registrar. I wish I could say the same now.
