I have opened an account with GoDaddy but I am not receiving any activation or transfer emails. Is this a common problem?

I have used GoDaddy and have called their support line 10+ times from registering questions to support/refund fees without any issues, so yeah, I recommend them.

they even gave me a phone call when my domains were expiring in 15 days, now that is true service...

Good and bad experience with the same service provider is a normal phenomenon, it is a matter of bad luck if you have been treated wrong by GoDaddy because its usual service is a high standard.

Some people do enjoy trolling around companies like 1AND1 and GD, and I'm sure that among them there are individuals who actually continue registering domains with GD or hosting with the other one I mentioned :). The reason is simple. Good service.

I haven't personally seen a hosting provider faster than 1AND1, at a competitive price. And I've looked around quote a lot. I've had bad experience with them once but on the day they start supporting Paypal payments I'll there again. Simply because they are at top.

Those are some incredible statistics. I think it's becuase they are the only domain company that actually has big advertising campaigns. So, whenever anybody thinks domains, the first name that comes to their head is GODADDY

Their domain pricing is fair, that's why I'm with them. You get an all-included package with your domain. No tricks, no hidden fees and no optional services you have to pay for before use. Like DNS management, domain forwarding or email forwarding stuff. It's all there for the standard or promotional domain price. And their promotions keep coming all the time. At the end of the day, who is against hunting for a good deal, and GD gives it to you.

I've recently purchased a domain name on these forums, and it's on DomainSite. A chance for me to see what their service level is like..

GoDaddy is a over hoster with super friendly service..

GoDaddy hosting has a advantage or disadvantage, as all it's server IP are banned by GreatFirewallOfChina, so you are ready to ban chinese traffic without any IP country program

It's hard to believe than only GD is the only one able to give this kind of superior support and fair price level

I still wonder why all the other registrars leave him alone at the top and don't care (as the stats show) to reach his %

I believe GD ruined domain reselling business once and for all
Why someone has to sell webhosting and extra services to balance the profit for the loss of domain sales ?

The people that don't loose from this situation are verisign (his standard $6) (and all the other registries) and icann (his standard $0.25)
