GoDaddy - Paid for private registration, pay again on domain renewall?

I have some domains through GoDaddy and when I bought them, I also got private registration with DomainsByProxy.

The domains are now due for renewal, but do I have to pay for private registration on them again? I wish to maintain them being registered privately.

    Thanks!

Yes you will need to pay for Private Registration again.
Private Registration should expire the same day as your domain.

You don't have to pay for private registration again if you don't want to. But you do if you want to continue having the registration private. It's just not mandatory.

Yep, the private registration service is an annual fee.

You might want to try namecheap you get free private registration and after the first year its only 2.88 or something like that for private reg.
