My honest suggestion is to be with Godaddy.

Many people dont know the value of domains. They are the internet real estate. Dont go with cheap things like namecheap or so.

Godaddy is No.1 company with positive cash flows. You need not worry about its financial health.

Godaddy is a registrar and Namecheap is a reseller for enom. With resellers, somtimes API problems may surface and your domain will not be renewed as expected and will be dropped and picked up by someone else. This happened with registeryfly for some of my frens.

Godaddy is here for many years and they provide a secure control panel. Namecheap is new to business and anything can happen. Becareful.

The other complaint with Godaddy is that they charge credit cards illegally. Actually a common user dont know that you have to pay yearly recurring fee for a domain. They just register a domain and will forgot about it. By default any domain will be in auto-renew mode and will be charged after one year. Now they raise a cry and say that Godaddy charged me for nothing.

    My vote to NameCheap
    - PayPal Accepted ( without Credit card )
    - Free whois gaurd
    - Easy management
    - No Crap offer pages while you register your domain

I use Namecheap. Can't compare GD with NC.

BTW, the free whoisguard NC offers is only for the 1st year of a new reg or transfer after that you will need to buy it @ around $2/3 a domain.
