I just bought a .co.uk name on godaddy and it said it was availbile i went to my domains in my account area and it wasnt appearing just checked the domain on a who is site and its saying it expires in june ?!?! but i just bought this!! on further examination its saying domains like google.co.uk is availble and other .co.uk names have a look!
well check your emails to know exactly what you bought? maybe you bought a back order? Anyway: "GOOGLE.CO.UK is already taken"
Maybe you bought a typo. Anyway, gd support is the right place if no domains is appearing at cp after buying. And of cos.. it takes few mins for domains to show at your acc.
either you bought a typo or you backordered a name. If godaddy done something wrong they should refund you.
I had experienced a problem once when Godaddy results showed a domain was available. I regged it, but it never appeared in my account, Other Whois services showed the domain was already registered by someone else. It was strange. Godaddy however refunded me at the end,
They will always refund if they did not capture the domain in time. I reg'd a large number of .asia domains when they first came out, only to find I was not allowed to own them...LOL...major refund happened with that one!
That kind of happened to me before, I registered a name that was available. But I guess somebody got it the second before me because I did not get it. I did get a refund. google.co.uk is taken on Godaddy now.
It was just a test - an example of an obviously taken name not showing as registered on GoDaddy. The OP did not really want google.co.uk
i have had bad experience with godaddy on quite a few occasions and thus i have just transfered all my domain to a different registrar they are about $0.20/domain dearer but support and system is fantastic.
you dont have to email them.. call them would be better.. i used go daddy for years and no problem with it and they have support 24/7 support on phone.. so just call them not email cause its kinda slow on emails...
This happened to be before, sometimes domain shows as available when it really isn't. GD will refund you.
someone might have registered it at the same time, godaddy will refund your payment I think in a week.
