As what u heard from the title, yes, they are selling the whole company.... more detail on Mashable: http://mashable.com/2010/09/10/godaddy-eyeing-1-billion-sale-report/ Will Google take part on this auction? or who do you think will buy it?
i believe it will keep the records of old customers, and i heard GG might be one of the buyers, we will see.
We don't know yet, as what i heard, uncle G will take part on that auction, or maybe it's a rumour....
Hmmm ... Google does tend to become a ACME of the Internet . So a takeover by Google might improve the service reliability but might screw up tech support . I'm not using GoDaddy because I've read quite a bit of unfavorable reviews about it but i would hate to get a mail stating : "We have received your message and we'll respond in the next 7 days" . I'm not sure how the customer support for GE is today but I've heard they're great at it . I'd like to see something similar for a giant like GoDaddy . It will certainly push the quality standards higher . And I do hope that the new owner will change the creepy mascot .
Where did you heard about that ? Anyway I doubt Google will be interested coz GD doesn't seems to really fit into their plan. Companies like Intuit is a much more possible candidate. Remember that Google,Microsoft or FB is not the only company with a multibillion budget ^^ Anyhow would be interested in the outcome. Cheerio
Microsoft i think wouldnt be much interested in domain industry... but if they enter it would be great
You guys forgot the yahoo......it is already in hosting....so it may look to grab this for domain selling..
