When a .info is up for renewal at godaddy are they renewed at the same price of $0.99?

No, renewal cost more (usually the same as .com renewal), could be cheaper if you use coupon but the discount will be only a couple of bucks maximum.

9,99$ + ICANN fee, no coupons available specifically for this type of renewal.

Thanks netmaster123, sufi and Clive, the .info soon loses its lure then when it comes to having to renew it the following year at normal price.

I was just reading somewhere of a guy who purchased 3000 domains and with the belief that .info are renewed at 99c , hes in for a shock then.

Im better off grabbing all .com's then if their available.

Yeah, .INFO names might not be the best deal for domainers,
unless you are buying them for your own use.

Most certainly not. I think its a trick to make you buy more names, but renewals will cost much more. Im almost 100% certain. That is how company makes money and please dont be naive. They need profit. It is highly unlikely that renewals will cost .99

And besides, why do you think that it costs .99 ? it costs 1.24
I think people need to learn to read advertisements and get the real price. Godaddy names cost .99 + icann fee (or whatever) 25 cents. so its 1.24.

Absolutely, your right, admittedly i was drawn in by the bait of 99c .info domains and then realised it may not be that when renewing, then posting here confirmed that, your also correct to point out the icann fee added to each domain purchase, while small, its still an additional fee.

A good thing about the .info domains is however that it is still possible to find great keyword rich domains which are all taken in the .com and net versions. You can rank high in the SERPS just as easily with .info domains IMHO.

Coupons are only applicable on NEW domains and NOT on renewals
