Hi I'm intending to buy a godaddy web site hosting for 6.90 a month. However when i proceed with payments, they offer meto add email functions foradditional 19.90 a year. What is the difference between this email and the basic email they offer? I need to send email to users regularly.

I believe the premium accounts have more storage space - I think that is the main difference.

php is processed by web server, I believe it has no relation to their premium email service

GoDaddy loves to offer customers a bunch of things "you might want to use" while you are checking out. That's why the process of making payment with them takes more time than the one with any other web service provider. It is good for them because many people buy more products and services.

I recommend only using them for domain registration and hosting elsewhere. I had godaddy a few years ago and was not happy with them but they may have improved since then.

Not a fan of godaddy. Thier are better hosting companies around. They try sell you things you do not need like alot of companies just buy what you need.

Do not use Godaddy for hosting!!! They are terrible

Use Hostgator. Websites and email hostings are good + they provide fantastico with wordpress...

(use Godaddy for domain name registration - they are the best ones)

Have you looked at Namecheap (http://www.namecheap.com)?

I've been with them for a couple of years now and have never had a problem. They offer great prices, and if you do a search on Google, you could probably find a discount code for a domain purchase.

They also offer free email forwarding (no ads!!) with each domain ordered.

I use godaddy and other then one issue which was fixed by a member here, it's been working great with no downtime for my sites. To do with them trying to bundle options with your deals, you do know that there is a proceed to sales page button at the bottom of the page that sends you straight to the sales page without seeing any offers, preventing you from clicking on something you don't want.

Just get your hosting and that’s it. You will automatically get 100 e-mail accounts with your hosting. All the other items listed are bells and whistles you can get at any other time as needed.
