Godaddy hosting cpanel interface is the worst.....

I just registered a new domain and hosting with godaddy and I am very disappointed on the cpanel.. I cannot edit my files online...and the cpanel is like a vault..you need to undergo many clicks before you can open your file manager..:( thumbs down!

And GoDaddy doesn't support htaccess. >_<

If you ever change hosts, look for one with CPanel, CPanel is quite easy to use.

Go daddy also suspends domain names if they think they spam. They then charge huge fees to release domain name so you can transfer it.

Why do people call each and every control panel they find 'cpanel' ???

cPanel is a unique product and not to be confused with other control panels and don't just call cpanel everything!

.htaccess is supported on godaddy hosting plans so is modrewrite for that matter, you can also change php settings by uploading a php.ini file to your account which i think is cool.

modrewrite is slightly modified version so not all rewrite code will work with out modifications.

For domain names, Goddays is best but they are not good host.

Few scripts doesn't works properly at godaddy.

You would think they could save some money from their ad budget (hiring spokespeople and running TV commercials) to upgrade their actual products.

It seems like there are 2 "I hate GoDaddy" comments for every "GoDaddy is alright" comment.

I wonder why they make things so hard on us webmasters.

They must make the big money from large corporate accounts, or something.

I am refering to Godaddy's control panel and not the traded mark "Cpanel".. Is there any problem with that or any big deal? I understand what I am posting..just to make a shortcut sometimes....

goDaddy is not so good for hosting, for domains they rock ! cPanel is the best control panel for websites, look for a host which offers cPanel.

I'd rather never buy host from domain registar and the same for domains from host. Need to understand that business is always targeted on their main products.

Woah, this thread is back from 2007! GoDaddys interface definitely is one that needs improving, makes me wonder what it was like back when this thread was created though! ;)
