GoDaddy is well-reputable and offer really cheap domain registration but heck, I think their web developers need to be re-educated for user-experience design. Seriously, how can any one of you DON'T feel the same with me? The secure connection is always the slowest, overloaded advertisement, and full of confusing/misleading clicks to ask you to pay more (I feels being cheated for a private domain registration), and the overall payment process is just creepy...
Agreed, they need to reduce the load of pages. And I think we've seen Bob's pic a lot time. No more we want to see his pic Always slow here
yes, I agree. Godaddy website should be little more clean. I remember, 3-4 years ago..... when I visited godaddy.com for the first time.. I was lot confused on where to click and what to do.
Since 4 yrs m with godaddy, at the beginning feel some difficult but after m happy everything running smoothly and m a fan of godaddy too. I am always using visa card for payment, never face any problem on payment.
I think Godaddy is a good company that has good deals, and great support. (I have only had to call them once) But I have to agree 100% that there site sux BIG time. I have a few hundred domains registered with them, They are the only registrar I use. But recently, I have been considering using someone else because I am getting fed up with sitting for 5 minutes waiting to be logged in, only to be (auto?) logged out half way through changing nameservers, or checking stats etc. I opened a Moniker account recently, I have not used it yet, but just navigating through the site was enough to make me seriously consider moving all my domains away from Godaddy's bloated website. Putting an alternative "text only" or "clutter free" version of the site would help a little.. (so long as ya don't get timeouts trying to log on) My 20 Mbps connection works fine everywhere else except for Godaddy. </rant> Cheers James
I have been with Godaddy for years, it's not what it used to be. As they have grown bigger the service has been going down steadily, but still they are among the best registrars and most likely will remain so.
You're right about GoDaddy, it's so damn busy on every single page, too many ads and back end deals, especially when you register a domain, and you have to make sure you find the tiny "no thanks" button so you don't mistakenly order something you didn't ask for. That being said, I still use them lol
They're the most stable registrar but also the most expensive. Also, their users get no perks whatsoever. Not even the ones who have hundreds of domains with them. That's an example of poor relationship marketing.
It is a horrible interface. I hate when I have to use it. Always takes me 3 times as long as it should to accomplish whatever I'm there for.
Im getting fast at skipping through the up-sell garbage when regging new names but still get lost looking for certain things on the rest of the site.
They aren't half the registrar they were a few years ago. I am on their site nearly every day, and it's pretty bad when I get lost in there... If it wasn't for the $0.99 .info's, I'd likely eventually go elsewhere.
they allowed me to switch servers for free, a service which other companies tend to charge extra for. That was really nice. Plus, they responded to my email rather quickly. I can't complain.
i can make a cup tea while waiting godaddy to fully loads up. that's the sucks thing about godaddy. another one is the user panel. wtf is that slow ajax loading interface? I really hate it. But for domain price, I love GoDaddy so much! haha
Yeah, that ajax interface pisses me off. Also, I dont know why you can't "display all" domain names on one screen, rather than showing a maximum of like 50. I also don't know why they don't let you export a list to XL format or at least a text file.
