Post all your GoDaddy domain name registration fopaws here.

Curious to see if others have had similar problems or if I am the only lucky one.

August 19th between 8-11 pm pst all domains I regged were confirmed and funds were removed from my paypal account. Checked and noticed all the domains were still available so registered them again. Went to sleep.

In AM when checking my GoDaddy account noticed none of my new domains were listed. Checked availability and sure enough the domains I had regged were still available. Unfortunately one of the domains that I supposedly had regged was registered by someone else about 8 hours after I had regged it so lost out on a good sale. More than a few bucks.

GoDaddy said it was a false positive which was a load of poo poo as contacted the new owner and he had regged it Monday morning about 8 hours after I had supposedly regged it. Upon checking with some colleagues others had registration issues on Sunday evening as well.

Have given GoDaddy the opportunity to own up but more or less they have said pound sand and too bad. Pls post all your good and bad domain registration stories here so I can make an informed decision as to where to move my portfolio....thanks

i register alot of my domains with godaddy but host them in various places, bluehost, dreamhost, orange6 etc.... i don't have any issues with godaddy. i just have a problem calling them for support and being charged for them! you'd think they'd have a 800 number!

Yes agree and when you call them long distance on your own dime they put you on hold for 10 minutes. Have used them for years and like their portal but they can do better!

What about reg fees for .com's:

1and1 is $5.99 (not much positive feedback from colleagues)
    GoDaddy is $6.95 with coupon
    Moniker is 7.95 with coupon
    Namecheap is $8.88

Can you also post the rates you are paying for .com registration thanks for your feedback
