I've just paid for three expired domains at godaddy auction. I thought that I'd get them straight away. After research it appears they aren't officially mine for 2 weeks and the previous owner can still renew? What's the success rate of expired auction bidders. What's the chance Ill get the domains? I've read if I don't get them that I will be refunded, is that a full refund on both the bid amount and the renewal amount paid (I'm guessing it is)? Thanks
Success rate is very high, I've taken many domains from the auction. If the domain is renewed by the previous owner, you'll get full refund including renewal fee.
I own more than 50 domains and have bought at least half as auctions from godaddy and so far have got each one I bid on, no failures or refunds
One the the best places to get good domains at reasonable rates, the best part is you get the age of the domain maintained
Godaddy tries very hard to get someone to renew their names, ever notice every time you add something to your shopping cart the make you go through the renewal page first. I would have to agree the success rate is high. Personally every domain i have ever won in the expiring auction has made it to my acct. One thing you must remember, you still have to pay for renewal over and above your winning bid. Best of luck, i truly hope you do receive your names.
I've missed few good domains though, owner renewed But I've won so many auctions, that makes me happy. By the way, you may try this tool for finding GoDaddy expiring domains: http://www.nextdrop.com - It's free
