How long does it take for a domain to get transfered?

I bought a domain and the guy said that I should receive an email from godaddy soon with all the info.

It's been 2 days now and I haven't received anything. Is this normal?

If you have an account check in with the seller and confirm the customer ID. If it all looks good I'd get them to contact godaddy and see what the hold up is.

I usually get it in a few hours. Check to see that the email has not landed up in your junk box.

Verify with the seller that he got your email address correct.

I think it depends on how fast both sites are....godaddy seems to be pretty quick, but lots of other reg's are not as quick...

i got it taken care of. called godaddy.
ended up that the guy didn't do the right stuff.

once he did I got the email from godaddy within minutes and was able to set it up just as fast.
