first you have to ask him what happened in his account
what is saying in the name he tried to push to you?

if the status of the name says "active - locked" or "active - unlocked" it wasnt pushed (the push failed)
however if it is written "changing account" then the push is being done by godaddy

try to find out what happened and good luck

Ask your friend to cancel the transfer ... then push again with your valid email ... cheers! :D

Check the whois info and see if your friend is still the owner and if he does change your email into the right email.

just get him to login to the domains section and click on pending transfers or pending changes, there he will see the transfer waiting, just cancel it from there

Just out of curiosity, why did you have your friend register it? Couldn't you register the domain yourself?

I am suffering from the same problem. I can't register domains from Godaddy without verified PayPal, but I can't accept transfer either. How did you solved this? Did you verified your PayPal to accept the transfer. Whan I was trying to accept the transfer, I was forced to go throught the "Buy Domain" page, even though the order was for $0.00, I had to go through PayPal. I have still not solved this.

the only way i can think of is to get someone from another country to login to your godaddy account process the domain tranfer for 0.00 and then delete the paypal account off the record before they log out again

Im sure someone would do that if you payed them
