I registered a domain nearly 24 hours ago. Even just after I registered it (when it should have shown a Godaddy parked page) it showed a 'could not connect to server' page. And then I changed the nameservers to my hosting. It's been nearly 24 hours and it's still showing the same page, like a 404. What's going on? Whois says: - Dunno if that's relevant.
The Total DNS and nameservers are set up for Godaddy parking. But the page still shows a 404. If I change the nameservers to my hosting it will still show a 404 (for 24 hours at least) Ever since even first registering the domain, it's always showed a 404. Even on Godaddy parking. So it's not a hosting problem, it says the NS are right. So I'm clueless as to what is causing this, is it Godaddy?
you better contact godaddy support as its related to godaddy services , it will be reoled fast with their support. its normally a dns error
But it's pointing (correctly) to Godaddy's Name Servers. This is from Godaddy Diagnostics: It's parked at Godaddy, so it should be working. Also, I've contacted Godaddy support and posted on the Godaddy forum. No responses so far.
I think I found the problem, no idea how to solve it though. I have two domains pointing to the exact same nameservers. Domain1 Domain2 Domain1 works, Domain2 doesn't. According to my WHM - Domain1 and Domain2 have the exact same zonefiles. Their A records etc are both exactly the same. However according to intoDNS: Domain1: Domain2: Domain1: Domain2: There are a couple of other zonefile errors for Domain2 as well. So, the two domains are both pointed to the exact same name servers. They have the exact same zonefiles. But one works and one doesn't. Why doesn't it pick up Domain2's A records and nameservers?
I have experienced some problems with redirection and parking with godaddy lately. sometimes it works, sometimes not.
It looks like GoDaddys name servers have not created any records for your domain name. I would try to point to different name servers (if you have any other DNS service) and waiting 24-48 hours for propagation. If you want to PM me your domain name I can try to look in to that further. You would also want to be contacting GoDaddyto troubleshoot.
The problem is ns1.server.com and ns2.server.com don't have A records. Is "server.com" your domain or a Godaddy name server? If server.com is your domain you must add A records for ns1 and ns2 at your Godaddy account and hosting. If server.com is a name server of Godaddy, they must reload the DNS zone.
