Godaddy do not let to renew!

I was trying to renew my name for next year and thats what I got:

"Domains cannot be renewed for the requested renewal period because the registry does not allow the specified renewal length."

What the heck?? Are they trying to lure me into 100 years renewal here?

What TLD was the domain? As it says, some domain registries only allow renewals for set periods (e.g. UK domains are renewed in two year periods and can't be renewed until about six months before expiry).

Thats so frustrating. Nothing in their FAQ about that. I set them to auto renew. Hope they auto renews for only 1 year and no extra stuff for thousand dollars included

Try to talk to them over telephone or create a support ticket.

You were probably trying to renew it for longer than 10 years. Check and see when the domain name expires and also check to see how many years you added it into the shopping cart for.

That seems strange. How long are you wanting to renew? I would contact their support to find out what's going on here.

What makes you think I was trying to renew for 10 years plus :D
I went to manage domains, clicked renew next to domain name and picked one year and then it gave me that message

Ok makes sense. Like said problem resolved. Because I never had an issue with GD and renewals. Knew there had to be a glitched.

Thank goodness you remember what the glitch was. :D
