Hi everyone, I've only been at this for a few weeks, but I've had a handful of sales through GoDaddy and they seem to show up in my CJ console in 2-3 hours. But, my last two have not shown up - one more recent than the other, but both well outside of that window. The first was Wednesday at 4pm Eastern, now almost 48 hours ago. The second was this morning at 9am, or 5 1/2 hours ago. I have verified with both people that they went through my affiliate link. Because these are website clients of mine, I access their accounts once they're set up and can verify that both sales were completed and that neither person used a discount/promo code (which will cause GoDaddy to deny the commission). The first person told me that "the charge hasn't gone through on my credit card yet." Which is strange, but I wonder if that's it... and if it is, how it'll be resolved. The second person used PayPal, and I think I've heard of issues with PayPal delaying things, but I'm not sure. I've emailed GoDaddy's affiliate people, but they'll take a few days to get back to me, and in the meantime, I'm concerned that more clients I have going to that site soon will not track properly. I have not so much as touched the page containing the link these people used, and it's the same page that has successfully produced commissions in the past. I know lack of cookies can cause things not to track, but it's hard for me to imagine that both of these people, who don't know each other, could fall into that like 3% of people who disable cookies! Does anyone have any thoughts on what might have happened? I hate to jump the gun but am nervous about sending traffic there now... let alone the traffic I already know is coming. Thanks.
My leads also showing up without any delay. But we never know how many actually converted and reported in our account. We have no way of getting leads confirmed like you. But I beleive CJ is a big enough network to track at least 80% conversions. I know for a fact some of my leads for a different program were not tracked 100%. I had to get them manually added via my affiliate manager.
Thanks for the responses! I've emailed full details of both transactions to GoDaddy's affiliate people, along with customer numbers, order numbers, and the fact that both people will confirm that they went through my links if GoDaddy wants them to. I can't imagine they'd have any ground to dispute that I'm owed the commissions, but I guess we'll see. I'm just worried about the links tracking right going forward, to be honest.
How are you making sales with godady if you don't mind me asking? Are you just telling people you know to use your link or are you promoting godaddy somehow online? Thanks in advance
I'm a website developer and I sell a service to an audience I already have (thanks to a column I write) where I'll set up Wordpress blogs for people who are technophobes. They know they want a blog, but are totally overwhelmed by the process. They contact me first to talk about what they want and require, and then I'll set up the blog. Because I don't want to be reselling hosting, they have to get the hosting before I go in to do the blog. I send them through my affiliate links to do it.
