I am thinking about making a domain name with godaddy, does anybody else have experience with this site or does anybody recommend another one?

I am a novice so what would be the easiest site to use?

They are all about the same. I use GoDaddy, Name, HostingDude, NetFirms and a few others. GoDaddy sometimes has coupons which is a plus. I bought a name from them the other day and with the coupon it was only like $1.16 total at checkout. I think it was WORLDCUP99 or SOCCER99 ..... Someone here on DP had a thread about it.

I used to be with GoDaddy for the majority of my domains (some still are), however I got sick of all the promo on site, not just that, but their complex procedure for transferring domains to new owners. Not to say that they are bad, they actually do quite well, but I have been extremely happy since changing to NameCheap. Might be a good idea to look into them.

    Hey,

I have had domains with GoDaddy as well, it was a fair experience, but then moved my domains at BigRock since they have good support, pricing etc..

If your are looking for reseller option, you can always go with Resellerclub, one of the best reseller domain registrars in the world !!

However, if you are looking to register a domain or two, you can take a look at www.bigrock.com , I have been happy with their service, you can try them out too !!

    +1 for Name.com
There's high risk of Go Daddy suspending your domain name for no real reason, I recommend avoiding them.

I second namecheap. I Never had any issues with them and did wind up having some issues with godaddy where they null-routed one of our domains for no reason before.
