i think i'll go with godaddy, today is the last day for their $6.99 promotion for transferring domain names, the only reason i considered name.com is cause they were a dollar cheaper ($5.99) and they came with e-mail hosting/boxes when u transfer a domain to godaddy, do u also get e-mail hosting/boxes and be able to use POP email with them?
actually, i think im going to go with name.com instead, they allow 200 email addresses and 6gb of storage, where as godaddy only offers 100mb of storage and 1 email address http://name.com/domain_services/free_email.php https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/email.asp?app_hdr=0&ci=3757
I buy my domains from Godaddy. They seem like a much more reliable registar, and the most popular. If they're the most popular, they're doing something right. Godaddy has an easy-to-use control panel to handle everything from subdomains to mx records. I guess if you're looking for the first year to be cheap, you can go with name.com. I just don't like how they try to lure you in with "LOADS OF FREE SERVICES WITH EVERY DOMAIN". They try to make it look like they're the ones giving you the free stuff when it's actually Google apps that you can setup anywhere, even godaddy. That's not true. Name.com uses Google apps. You can get Google apps for any domain you buy anywhere. google.com/a/ I use google apps for my domain names and they're on godaddy. I get 6gb of space and tons of features.
I have loads of domains with Godaddy, but I find their site is cluttered with ads/promotions which is why I prefer buying from name.com plus their phone support is superb as they have very friendly staff. No doubt Godaddy is good, but namecheap/name I think surpasses godaddy in every aspect.
ok, i ended up going with godaddy, how do i use google apps with my domain and set up POP email to have @mydomain.com instead of @gmail.com
frankly speaking i prefer name.com over godaddy.com but i will only use namecheap whenever it's possible because it has never given me a problem ever since i started using it many years ago. i also like the simplicity of its interface as compared to godaddy with junks of irrelevant crap.
Personally, I would definately go with Name.com over Godaddy. They are a lot cheaper, even without having to enter those stupid coupons in Godaddy where it still costs you more!
name.com does have Private Whois free, where as godaddy charges i think around $8-10 also, how much are renewals? are they $5.99 as well name.com? i might switch
i used godaddy for the first time and never had to think why should i change them. i have domains and hosting at them and i`m very pleased.
I got ripped off by these thieves. SEE: You searched for: godaddy Approximately 44 Reports Found Showing 1 - 25 Type godaddy in ripoffreport DOT com BEWARE!
