Have you ever been charged by GoDaddy when calling them for customer support? Today I get my phone bill from last month and it shows that they charged me $1 per min (50mins total). I called with my land line, which has state to state calling. Has this ever happened to anyone? Isn't this illegal? They never told me that I would be charged for a phone call.
No that's ridiculous. I haven't called them myself so I'm not sure, but I've never heard of any place that charges like this. That's what they are there for, for support, not to charge you without you not knowing. Let us know what happens if you call them back.
If Godaddy was $1 per minute, trust me, I would know. I call support about something about once a week or so. This has to be some kind of issue with your local line provider. Definitely not a Godaddy thing.
Wow I use godaddy and something like this has never happen to me, will call them and ask if they are charging a fee for support.
Are you live in USA? Godaddy is a USA company, if you called them from somewhere else but not in the USA then your phone company would charge you per min for that/not godaddy. Are you using dial-up internet, using the same line with your phone? Your computer may has downloaded a small program called 'dialer', when you dial-up to the internet, this program connects you to somewhere else like to Africa, long distance, and you will pay for that. Find it and remove it from your computer.
I'm from the USA. I don't use dial up. We have a serperate line for the phone, are phone company is AT&T and out internet is Comcast.
