Just remind anyone here, make sure to renew or register your domain names before 1st July, the .com price will increase 7%, and .net will increase 10%, don't waste the money, renew your domains immediately.
due to the price increasing form VeriSign, so the change apply to all other registrars. http://www.webmastercrunch.com/godaddy-and-name-com-price-increase-july-1st-2010/
I've renewed heaps of names over the past few weeks that were up for renewals within the next 6 months
Does anybody know the final price for Godaddy and Name.com .com and net domain registration? 7% to 10% Verisign increase doesn't mean that these registrars will increase their prices by the same %
The increase got effected already? I thought the price increase was from 1st July... though I am happy that I did not wait till the last day for renewal! Regards, RightMan
Why they have to increase the price at the same time? Is it because due new to new rules or simply wan t manipulate the market?
Right, but what will the price be? I mean, did they announce exact prices, e.g. $11.44 for .com? @hullabaloo_bard .com and .net registry is increasing their prices, so registrars need to act accordingly. The questions is how high will they increase their prices
I read in a thread here on DP itself that there is going to be a rise of 7% for '.com' and 10% for '.net' domains. Regards, RightMan
Hey everyone, We just announced our new pricing yesterday, which you can see at blog.name.com. Cheers, Lesley Yarbrough Community Manager Name.com
Starting on July 1, 2010 our new price for .COM and .NET registrations will be $9.99, one of the lowest retail prices available after the VeriSign price increase. http://blog.name.com/2010/06/name-com-now-offering-investor-pricing/ Here’s the email that was just sent by Godaddy: === On July 1, 2010, VeriSign®, the registry for .COM and .NET, will increase prices – .COM will go up 7%, and .NET by 10%. The increase will be passed to registrars like Go Daddy and then, unfortunately, to consumers like you. As of July 1, we will be forced to raise registration and renewal* prices for these two popular top-level domains. If you wish to avoid this price increase, you can renew your domain names by June 30 and add another year to your current expiration dates. You have the option to register or renew for multiple years and lock in long-term savings. Of course, should you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-480-505-8821.
I was wondering if there is any government/social organization that overlooks/authorizes such price increases... or are these commercial companies free to price them, whichever way they want! Regards, RightMan
