I have been using GoDaddy for about a month and have never had a problem till now, my website keeps going down, i have emailed them but i could be hours before i get a reply, i just wondered if any of you have had this problem, it takes around 5 minutes before it is back up.
I have recently found out that they are running over 6,000 sites of the same server, that is ridiculous. They better fix this otherwise i am switching.

Ye i have heard that but i still have 11 months of the hosting left, and if i change now it would be a kinda waste of money, i am only 15, i can't really afford any more at the moment. I think once the year is over i might change to something like hostgator.

GoDaddy should refund a customer for unused portions of their bill (pro-rated) if they cancel due to excessive downtime. I'd give them a call. Make sure you back everything up and you are all set with your website on the new web host before you get rid of your godaddy hosting account.

    I agree completly.
I have emailed them, and the reply was useless, they said "it was resolved immediately" and i am not lying i went to my site straight after i received the email and it was still down. I emailed them right back, its getting quite annoying now.

Godaddy offers a guaranteed 99.9% uptime so I guess is about your script, probably a system resouce intensive, perhaps a proxy script?

I have seen a lot of reviews about them similar to your. A lot of people state that they are good as domain name registrar, bit not good enough as web hosting provider.

If your site is going down then it maybe due to Godaddy only allowing 50 concurrent Mysql connections for the basic package.

I would recommend you avoid "concurrent mysql connections" matter since it would not help you. Godaddy is a well known for domain registration service but not for web hosting industry. I would recommend you get your site transfer to another host as soon as possible. If you do not want to being hosted with a big company anymore, you can find many services here in DP as alternative.
