    Hello,

How is Godaddy affiliate program in CJ? And how is their tracking? Also will I the commission if the customer used a coupon code to sign up? That is a visitor goes to godaddy.com from my site through my affiliate link and then applied a coupon to get a discount and signed up... Will I get the commission in this case????

Yes, you will get the commission based upon the final total after the coupon is applied. After hundreds of transactions with godaddy I have to say it tracks 99% of the time, and works just fine.

Does GoDaddy affiliate work with domains (regs, transfer & renew) as well?

Yes, it does. You can even get the discount for registering your own domains and purchasing through your own link. All godaddy cares about is the sale.

In hostgator I had a problem, my friend used my affiliate link but used coupon code of someother affiliate. I did not get the commission. Perhaps he shd not have used the coupon code but.. any way the hosting market is saturated, you wud be wasting time if you are trying to promote hosting,

Hey in hostgator thats not a problem... you can contact them and ask them to add the commissions manually... just say the domain name of customer... and the customer name also.. you will get $100

Actually, Godaddy's terms explicitly state that you should not receive a commission for your own purchases. I just read over the terms yesterday.

Read this I got it from CJ Godaddy special terms and conditions...

    # You acknowledge and agree that Go Daddy solely has an obligation to pay commissions on coupon codes that are supplied to You through the CJ Account Manager. Any and all other commissions, including those earned on sales in violation of the above coupon code policy, will be reversed. Go Daddy does not pay commissions on purchases made by customer with the following coupon codes: a coupon code not supplied through the CJ Account Manager, a coupon code from an internal Go Daddy or private discount code, a coupon code supplied in Go Daddy customer emails, and any coupon that states on its landing page that it is "not compatible with the affiliate program".

    # You are not eligible for commissions on Purchases made by Your employees or its principals.

So far godaddy has paid on all sales that involved coupons, even ones that have originated from DP. In the instance stated above it would pay on the discounted sale and not the full $105.

They have always paid on any purchases we have made as well, and have been with the godaddy program since they started. :)

Okay so how much will they pay if I made a sale for $63.48 (their 12 month deluxe plan without the coupon) and also made a sale for their 12 month Deluxe Plan with coupon so that the sale is amount is $50.78

I can confirm that they don't pay commissions for sales that used coupon code. I gave a coupon code and my affiliate id to one of my friends. he purchased a dedicated server but no commission was given to me. When contacted, godaddy pointed out the use of coupon code as the reason for not paying the commission.

If you are in doubt, ask godaddy itself. I have made tons of sales for godaddy with coupon code, but was never paid a commission for that.
