No, exe, I do not. See, if I were, like many scientists today, to say, well, it could be this, or it could be that, that's as much as saying, I'm not sure what it is. But when someone believes in God, they believe they know. For them, the knowledge is a forgone conclusion. Now please don't go mixing this up with creationism. I am not saying I know about all that, I am not saying I know or understand (or have inclination to understand) exactly howe God got up to man. I am simply saying that, since I believe in God, I know He created us in some way, manner, shape, or form. Evolution may well be that form. May well not be (I tend to think it is certainly nearer to His method based upon evidence than any other theory I have come across) but it may well not be exactly.
I second this. Christianity, wait no. Religions tend to say that they know where we originate from. They assert that they know. Somewhat of a sophistry, but anyways, its a major nonsense that religious people tend to claim a lot. If there's anyone here that know about this, could they explain some evidence that shows for example when God created the heavens and the earth?
Yes, but so far your belief seems to suggest only that you believe I am wrong for believing in God. That's a defensive position, a negative. Try explaining the universe to me, forget about what I believe. Explain the universe to me.
Statement Response . What you are actually saying is that you do not believe what we do know. That is, again, not suggesting what you yourself actually do know. If all you know, or believe you know, is that we of faith do not know... then your opinion is questionable to begin with. For if you do not have the answers, then how can you judge if someone else does or does not?
Like I said I know by whom the earth was created, and also, as you ask, the heavens as well. I have never claimed to know His methodology. And I tend to think the Big Bang was a real thing which He orchestrated. But I am not a scientist, I am a glorified waiter. Can you tell me when and where etc?
The big bang created the universe. This can be ascertained by the doppler shift of frequency in light from stars throughout the universe. As for how life on earth was created and how "Infinity" created the universe, I explained this in two other threads.
I'm asking examples of evidences that shows that God was the creator. I'm not asking for some waste product that was produced during this creation. Just some proof that shows that he's the guy that created it.
Perhaps it was chuck norris? Lets face it, the universe was created by a force, if it created the universe it deserves the title of god, thats not to say its a man with a white beard sitting on a cloud somewhere though. The fact that you are sitting here is proof that the universe was created. (It also has yet to be created but has always existed. Its called the divine paradox.) The universe was created in order for infinity to be infinity. Now this is like trying to explain superstring theory to a monkey. I dont expect you will get it, but trust me on this one. Something (which I like to call the Divine) Exists. Religion however is a CRUDE attempt to explain this force. (again like explaining superstring theory to a Monkey)
*shrugs* I could never prove something as huge as to who and how and why the universe was created. I know what I believe and that is all I have. The painting cannot explain the reasons as to why it was created, how it was created or who created it. It is simply what it is and the artist had his reasons. I believe God made the heavens and the earth but I could never prove it to anyone.
I guess you're agnostic? I'm struggling between being agnostic and being an atheist. You said that it was probably created by a force. The universe. Then, does time actually exist then? Time is simply a quantity that we use to measure the changes..
Agnosticism is a form of atheism IMO You're not a theist, that makes you an atheist. Both lack belief in the existence of God. **Braces for flames**
Time is actually a lack of a force, which you can call infinity, light, energy, god, the divine, a higher power, etc. Time exists in order for everything to exist, at a state outside of time "from lights perspective", everything happens at once. Our stereotypical concept of god who puts US as No1 in the universe is a CRUDE attempt of our egotistical minds to comprehend this force. Religion is even cruder. I have nothing against athieisim or agnosticisim, all I will say is that if you ever need a friend at a really tough time, try calling with your heart. and if something miraculous happens, please for gods sake dont go running to christian dogmatisim. A higher power exists, one without judgment, prejudices, the need for appeasal and worship. Energy Simple as that. Energy makes up everything and all energy has an inherent intelligence. The sea of energy that makes up infinity knows everything, and you are part of it, however you only have enough of it to power 10-15% of your neocortex. Your subconscious/superconcious however is a different matter. People believe in god because they are aware at a deeper level that a higher power exists. people dont believe in god because they realize that what a lot of religions teach is nonsense.
Sigh. God or creationism isn't a theory. Stop saying it is. It's a make believe story. Also like it or not evolution is a scientific fact. There are two aspects of evolution, one fact, one theory. Sorry evangelicals. Source talkorigins.org/faqs/evolution-fact.html Of course I believe in god. The FSM is my one and only god. rAmen.
