Why you think he/we need to prove you there is a god?

You need to prove that there isn't god ...

Dead, let me profess what I do know: I know nothing, truly. As to why some scientists confess a faith is answered already - they ascribe mysteries yet unknown to a beautiful tapestry, woven by an intelligent hand. I see nothing whatsover wrong with this. But I have yet to see one of them profess they came to it via scientific method - rather, again, I have only seen a leap of faith. Much like Hobbes' final "empirical gap" I spoke of above. Your "thought on thought" is very interesting...but I don't see the evidence of god in the known universe that you seem to, if I have not gotten you wrong. I see in the manifestations wrought by human thought the wonder of millenia of hard wiring, won by heroic, evolutionary struggle; none of which lessens the power of art, of poetry, love, empathy resulting therein.

PM'ed you on the beef - regrets, I was laid up with a massive seasonal illness. Yeah!

Yes, it is. However in essance that theory could be god to someone. My real point is I belive in a god powered by every single person, each our our energy is powers the earth and all creation, so in turn do I belive in "God", I don't know.

IN answer, no.... you do not. You are confusing the issues. Because God is love does not follow that love therefore is God.

Nor can a tree forgive our sins and grant us the grace we do not deserve.

I don't believe in God as such, but I do believe in some kind of power or energy that drives us.

This person who is not sure if he believes in god still knows more about it than most Christians.
I believe in Energy as well.
    Energy, Light, Love, Divinity
    Respect.

I didn't ask him to prove that god exists, just to back up his statement. A statement without backing in my opinion is invalid. Also if nobody could prove his/her/its existence for thousands of years, how can anybody expect someone on these forums of doing so?

Burden of proof is always on the person who claims something... If you claim that God exists, you need to prove it.

    To whom, exe?

And how? Like I said. You think, right? The only proof we have of this is in how it manifests itself in something else, some secondary action, attribute, expression, etc...

To the unbelievers, if you want your beliefs to be acknowledged as truth.

We? Are you speaking on behalf of all theists in existence?:)

If you don't care then why debate, you're not going to change your beliefs regardless of what we say are you? This is similar to a delusional person who "believes" that there are fairies living deep beneath his garden & doesn't care whether his belief & proclamation is acknowledged by other human beings. Sure he can keep believing whatever he wants to but that doesn't necessarily make it true.

Oh but there is when the world's default currency carries a slogan that endorses faith. The feeble minded theists continue to shove their beliefs down people's throats by printing pro-faith slogans on currency, by proclaiming that the USA is "one nation under god" (when in fact 10% of the population has no religious affiliation), & up until 1997 prohibited Atheists from holding public office or applying for public employment. Not to mention the oppressive denial of equal rights for homosexuals, the root cause of which is religion.

All of this taking place in the nation that's supposed to be the icon of liberty.

Indeed everyone has the freedom to believe whatever they want to, but that doesn't make their beliefs true & until they can furnish evidence supporting their beliefs (the Bible is not evidence) they are to be considered delusional.
