I’m in a party mood tonight. I feel like dancing. Hallelujah, Jesus is worthy. There’s nobody like him. Never will be again.. He is the best of all possessions. In the book of Psalms, Psalms 105:1. The Bible says, King David speaking, O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name. Make known his deeds among the people. In other words tell what God has done. Tell it, and tell it, and tell it again. Make known the deeds of the Lord. Tell what he has done. At the end of the Gospel of Mark, the Bible says, Jesus speaking, verse 17. These signs shall follow them that believe. In my name shall they cast out devils. They shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents,(as Apostle Paul took up the serpent and through it back into the fire after it attacked him), and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Without a doubt the promise says they shall recover. Thus it is written, and thus it is! The Bible says and verse 20, and they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them. And confirming the word with signs following. In the book of acts chapter 4, here is a very disturbing and yet a very glorious situation. Peter and John healed a man through the power of the resurrected Christ at the gate beautiful. They now were in difficulty for having done such a thing. Can you imagine it, that they were in trouble. They were before the religious council of that day, and they were in question. In verse 14, of chapter 4 the Bible says speaking and referring to the court, or the council. And beholding the man that was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. And they hassled about this, and verse 17 says, that it spread no further among the people let us threaten them that they speak henceforth to no man in this name, (the name of Jesus). And I love what those apostles had to say in response. Verse 19, but Peter and John answered and said unto them, whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God judge ye, for we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. I must tell it. I must tell it. I must tell it. I must tell it! Jesus, I stand in your awesome presence for you’re the one true living God! I have felt the glory of your resurrection power. New inspiration is here a fresh and a new. I come to this place in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Hear me an answer prayer according to your word. Anoint this mind of clay. I speak O Holy Father and petition thee from the depths of my heart because I need you now. May everyone here never be the same again. Do what you want to do here. Heal who you want to heal, deliver who you want to deliver. Set free, enlighten, baptize, fill, and refill, I pray in the name of Jesus, not forgetting to give you the praise the glory and the honor. I ask these things in the matchless, resplended, all-powerful name of the one true God, in Jesus Christ whom I know in spirit and in truth because I love you and I adore you. All I can say is I hope you are ready for what I have to say. Giggling. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. He is great and greatly to be praised and of his kingdom there shall be no end. There is never going to be a end it is going to go on and on and on. I have come to the kingdom for such a time as this. When I read the word of the Lord there is an incredible awesomeness that sweeps over my soul, my intellect and my emotions. It is obvious from reading the word of the Lord that the apostles in the beginning had a fearless boldness. They absolutely feared no one or they feared no thing. They preached it as it was, making no apologies to anybody and basically they simply let fall as the Spirit gave it to them, and they did not apologize for what they did. May I say to you now that I do not apologize for anything that I believe in this wonderful truth, or for anything that I have. So-called Christians spend too much time apologizing when really we ought to simply declare it and let the hungry and the thirsty find it. This gospel will not work on the scoffer and the mocker, it only works on the hungry and the thirsty. But to the hungry and the thirsty! It will fill the longing of the human heart. The apostles of old had been with Jesus. They knew him and knew that what he said was true. They had been through enough that they were willing to risk anything. I was not raised in this. I found this at a early of age, but I had ideas of something I wanted to do. Then suddenly down the road of my life came walking a Pentecostal preacher who said to me, there is more that you can have, there is more that can come into your life. I went through the throes of struggling in the religion that I was in comparison to this that I am in right now. Thank God for this something wonderful called the Holy Ghost. I have felt waves of glory ripple through my soul. Who could possibly say that God is not alive. Who could possibly declare that there is no God, and that man is only something that evolved from a lower form of life? I choose by experiences to believe that in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the word was God. And that in the beginning God breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul. I believe in miracles! I believe in God! And this is the way I came into this, I fought you, I fought Pentecostalism. I tried to explain it away and the more I fought you the more sense it made. I would not look into your eyes because I could see a light shining back at me. I would not come in contact with Pentecostal eyes because there was a light there, there was something that looked at me. I felt a lack, I felt a need. And eventually though I fought it, I saw it. And I did not lie to myself, that is one thing I have never been able to do. I cannot lie to myself, my intellect did not want it, my flesh did not want it. But I have a soul, and I have a spirit that said this is it. And I had to surrender my heart and my life to this, and say, Jesus what ever you want I will do it. I was praying to the Lord one-day and I said: I have prayed and I have sought you for the truth, that’s when he stop me and said.. This is it boy, now get in it. And then I came walking in the true church and I didn’t know how to pray or worship, I thought I would never dance, I couldn’t imagine speaking in other tongues, a language I never learned. But here I am right now by the grace and the wonder working baptism power of Jesus Christ. This is the greatest thing in all of existence. I am not sorry, I would do it again. I would say goodbye to a world, I would say goodbye to a world of affluence and position, I would say goodbye to a world of wealth and fame. Take what this world has but give me Jesus. He is the best thing and the greatest thing that could ever happened to a mortal in this entire existence of creation. He is the best thing that ever happened to me. God can do anything, he can do everything. Nobody ever prayed for healing in the church I came out of. Nobody even hardly sneezed, it was a major offense. Only one man prayed and he never did tell God what I wanted to tell God. I just listened to his same repetitious prayer and went home unfulfilled. And yet in the pages of this old book there was a Christ, there was a messiah. There was a Jesus that had done things that were astronomical. That was stupendous to human logic and reasoning. And so I went off to Bible school knowing I did not have three years to throw away and do something else, I let go of everything. And I had to get a hold of something in this. When I was in Bible school during my third year we had a evangelism program there and because of a certain persons influence on my life we had an engine that would not quit. People were getting the Holy Ghost, and there was revival. People were knocking on doors at 30ï… below zero. We were running car heaters to keep warm. Some of the students got me aside and said to me brother, we want to talk to you. The whole school is talking about you. And you have become a fanatic. We think you ought to cool it. Friends these were, giggle. So I listened to them graciously, very attentively. But when they were done with the lecturing, and instructing, and positioning I simply said: I have one thing to say to you. I thank you for your time. I thank you for your concern. But my answer to you is this. It’s going to get worse... And it has gotten worse. And I say to all of you, it’s going to get worse. I have nothing else to live for. There’s nothing else in this world but this, and there’s nothing else in this world for you either. So many are not awaken to that, but we don’t have anything else. If we are caught in this, we might as well get a hold of it. We might as well explore it. You might as well get out there and do something for God. He gave you hands to lay on them, and lips to preach the gospel. He gave you feet to walk in his ways. He gave you a heart friend of mine that can pulsate with the royal blood of the risen one! This man called Jesus! The savior of the world, this Redeemer! This king of kings and Lord of lords! You don’t have anything else. Why don’t you wake up, friend. I believe the scriptures literally. And it threw me into a destiny. I choose to live this way. If eternity is real, if the Bible is true, and I declare to you that it is. We’re not making fools out of ourselves living this way. We are not wasting our time. We’re some of the smallest people in all of existence, I really do know where I was. But I really do know where I am now. And I really know where I’m going. It’s the most wonderful thing in all of existence to lay your head on a pillow at night and know that if the heavens open and the son of God descends that I shall rise to meet him; and that these feet shall walk on streets of gold! There’s no knowledge like that in the secular world. There’s nothing like that in psychology or psychiatry. There’s nothing in existence that is so gratifying, that is so secure, so wonderful, and so real.. When I was in Bible school we had 15 minute breaks every morning and the other students would go down to play ping-pong, but I didn’t have time to play ping-pong. I went to the prayer room, and I prayed God use me. Help me to believe it. Help me to see it with my eyes. I do not want to be just a religious individual. I do not want to just be involved in another religion. I want something that is real. I want something that is alive. I want something that is tangible. And Jesus offered that. He promised that. The disciples they declared it, the apostles they emanated it, they performed it for us. So it would be no wonder to you then that I’ve got myself in a lot of situations, but God has always brought me through. I believe this... there isn’t anything I won’t try if I feel it. If I get a signal from him I’ll go.
There are people in this community that are demon possessed. And they are motivated by the spirit of darkness. And they have no will or control over that. And they will do whatever he tells them to do. I would to God that all of you could become Holy Ghost possessed. Jesus possessed me. Possess me Jesus I need to become possessed. God I’ll be a fanatic for you. And I’ll be a freak of some kind. I’ll be a fool for Christ’s sake. Just take me over, I don’t no how to give you more than I am, but just take me, if you can do anything with me do it! Hear me now. All that God is looking for is a vessel! All God is looking for is a volunteer that will let him flow-through them. He wants a flow-through situation. Do you feel it? We did something in our neighborhood a few years ago, we decided to pitch a tent in a Roman Catholic neighborhood on a old vacant lot. You talk about stirring up things, we certainly stirred up a lot of things. They came by to see what we were doing. They said is this a bizarre? I said no. We are fixing to have an old-fashioned tent meeting here. And they had no idea what that would be like. And I said you need to come and see what we are going to do. So we got all the shrubs and a brush and the sticks cleaned out and we raked them up and mowed and all of that. We pitched this tent, brought in our chairs, and the sawdust and are wooden platform. I had been in the mountains praying and fasting and I want you to know we opened that meaning and those Roman Catholics came pouring out of those apartment houses and the first night that we were there.. People, we had a young boy that came to the altar and he was praying at the altar, but his uncle did NOT like it. His uncle came in and dragged this Catholic teenager out. He said I’m going to go back in there and get that preacher, and I will make him sorry that he ever came to this area. I want you to know this, please hear me. What he did not know was that I had been in the mountains praying and fasting for three days. He March back in cursing and swearing coming down the aisle and got about 10 feet from me, and I stood my ground and looked into his eyes, and his hands started to tremble, his knees began to shake, he saw something, I’ll to you what he saw, the old book says that the angel of the Lord encampeth around about them that fear him! I got my own angel! I’ve got my own angel! Hallelujah! The police called us. They said we want you downtown in the chief of police office. We went downtown to the Chief of police’s office, four of us. He said what are you people doing over there on that street corner? I said were having an old-fashioned tent revival. And people are receiving the Holy Ghost on the street corner. He had no idea what I was talking about when I said the Holy Ghost. We began to tell him how to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. That you must repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. I had such a compassion and burden for this chief of police that I began to weep in his office. He looked at me, his hands began to tremble and he said you folks better get out of here. He said I don’t know what all this is about but we will send a cop car to patrol the area. All I can say is just get out of there by 11 o’clock because the ordinance says you are disturbing the peace after 11. But until 11 you can do whatever you want to do. And I want you to know that we did our thing for Jesus until 11 o’clock every night. But they were not satisfied with that so they sent an undercover agent. This man came around and I spotted him, he came up to me and asked a lot of questions. We began to witness to him as people were in the altar praying to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. He broke down and said my marriage is about to break up. He said would you people please pray for me. I said yes sir we will pray for you. I’m so glad I know him! If you are in trouble know that Jesus is a very present help in the time of trouble. I know him. And you can know him. I tell you the devil fought us. Drug pushers came to the door of the tent. And they were pushing dope at the entrance of our tent! But at the altar we were pushing the Holy Ghost! Police came one night and said stop this, stop these people here. I said listen, I want to tell you what’s happening to those people. Those people are trembling Under the power of God. I said Sir, if you want stop them you go up and touch them and tell them to stop because I would never touch them, I’m too afraid, because they are involved with God. He looked at me and then looked at them and walked out. They don’t want to touch it, they don’t know what to do with it. Because it’s something they no nothing about. I will not do their dirty work for them because I am on the Lord side. I will stand with him before the mountain, I will stand with him before the Red Sea, I will stand with him at Calvary, because in the end we are going to win! I watched a Roman Catholic man at the door of that tent he had been smoking a cigarette, he became so enthralled with what was going on and he forgot about his cigarette until it burned down and touched his skin. He flicked it away, he was just enthralled with the power of the Holy Ghost. I watched a Roman Catholic woman standing at the back of the tent against the wall and as I was giving an altar call, conviction gripped her. She began crying and shaking her head no, throwing tears out of the corners of her eyes. Until there were wet spots on both sides of her head. She was saying no, but in the eventuality of all things she had to let go and reach out to God. May you never be the same. If you get what I got you will act just like I do, I promise. There’s nothing like it! There’s nothing like it! In all of existence! Hallelujah. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus I love you. I love you Jesus. I’ve got to tell it. I had a very interesting experience in Bible College. Brother Norris appointed me as liaison between the school and the University of Minnesota. There was a famous anthropologist there named Dr. Garlick. And at that time speaking in tongues was just a major phenomena that was encroaching on every mainline denomination in this country. And the government had funds for various colleges to do studies on this business of speaking in tongues. It became a very interesting situation. Because every service night, especially Sunday night, here would come professors from the University and various students that were in their classes. They would come with their clipboards and the recorders pencils and paraphernalia. They were hoping someone would speak with tongues so they could get it on tape and send it to a speech analyst. They were taking notes and I felt like I was in a zoo somewhere. I felt like I was behind bars, and people were just passing by. And I sometimes resented it, but I tried to keep my Christian attitude. And I was kind, and diplomatic. And I did all the things I was supposed to do. And I worked at it very hard, but ONE NIGHT I had enough. They were taking all this research and doing all these things. And I spotted Dr. Holstein back against the wall. I walked back to him because he had withdrawn. We had a very powerful service that night. I went back to him and I said I wish so much that you can get this experience. He said well I think I better be going. I said no let me talk to you for a moment. I said you know the thing that interests me about you people so much? I said you’ve always thought that us Pentecostals, that we were the people across the tracks. And that we just didn’t have much in life. Materially, or mentally or emotionally. And that we needed to get together in storefronts or whatever we could do or afford to let off steam, to keep our equilibrium. And I said that’s why you are doing this research. I said the thing that is now so interesting is that doctors are getting this, and lawyers are getting this, and prominent people are getting this. So, I said Mr. Holstein, you are now beginning to wonder if we Pentecostals really did have something after all. Or is your side also going crazy? He looked at me with shock in his eyes. I laughed and said that’s exactly how it is. And they invited me to the University. And here were all the students of Dr. Garlick and Dr. Holstein. And they had brought in a hypnotist and they said this is our explanation for speaking with tongues. You get people together by the power of suggestion. You get them carried away. And its a sort of hypnosis and they speak in these languages unknown to them. He said I want to give you a demonstration. Here was his hypnotist, he looked the part, goatee, mustache, the horn rimmed glasses, and the whole business. He was tailormade for the job. He came in and said this is my explanation. He said I’m going to hypnotize everybody in this room. I thought, not me your not. Not this boy. He said everybody relax. And I stiffened. He told everybody to uncross their feet and I crossed mine. He said lay back and I sat straight up. He said close your eyes and I opened mine wide like an owl. And he had those people and the professor’s waving their hands like they were caught in the air. They were doing all these crazy things and I was just sitting there watching. He had to snap them out of it. He clapped his hands and they all came out of the trance. And they all came to including the professors, giggle. And he said now this is my explanation.. Dr. Gurlick looked at me and he said Robb what do you think about this? I said I’ll tell you what I think about it.. I said it is interesting for me to note that all of you were hypnotized, but he did not leave you there, he had to bring you out of it, I said if I am indeed hypnotized nobody has ever been able to break this spell.. Nobody has ever been able to get me out of it.. Nobody has ever been able to take it away! And they never will because Jesus said: you are sealed with the Holy Ghost. He said, I will never leave you or forsake you! Once you have him friend you got him! I have it! I have it! Hallelujah! I have it! I love it when people accuse us of dancing in the flesh. And doing all this stuff in the flesh. I say to them, what else do you have to dance in. It’s all that God gave us. This is the best that I’ve got so I’m going to do it for him. I will do it for him! It is in the flesh but it becomes spirit if you do it long enough. Can you feel what I feel? Can you fill the joy and peace and the fire? I do feel like shouting. I do feel like running and leaping for joy. I was lost, I’m found, I was redeemed, I’m saved! I’m on my way to heaven. What a wonderful testimony. What a wonderful utterance. I am delivered. Delivered. Delivered. I’m free, set free, I’m free. Jesus said ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free! Free from what? Free from every other ideology, doctrine, and dogma in the world. Dr. Gurlick looked at me and he said: “I’ll say one thing for you, you seem to have the answers and we don’t...†I said Dr. Gurlick, why don’t you come to our services and come to our altar and let God fill you with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. You can stop your research because you will have all the answers... They sent the tapes with recordings of speaking in tongues on them to famous speech analyst in this country and guess what the report was. The report said that they are definitely Languages. They have a rhythmic language repetition. They have the same ecstatic utterances throughout. There’s a syllable exchange. It is a definite language they said, but we cannot tell where it comes from... Hallelujah. There is a new Jerusalem above us which is the mother of us all it is coming from there. Why don’t you lift both hands. When you lift both hands it makes a funnel and it ends right there in your heart. Just worship him and lift your voice to him. It sounds like the roar of wind it sounds like the roar of water. Beautiful. Beautiful. I tell you tonight American, that we make so much out of birthdays and so much out of anniversary parties but when I think of all the things that God has done, nothing compares. Nothing comes close. I’ve been baptized in Jesus name. I’ve spoke in tongues when the Holy Ghost game. You’ve got to go to the water. You’ve got to go to the water in Jesus name. Acts 2:38 Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and said repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I feel like having a party. I feel like dancing! This should be on the front lines of every newspaper in America instead of all that smut, and all that garbage. They ought to be telling about people being saved! .
