I really am getting rather pissed with all this rain, havent seen the sun in about 3 days, ah well, all the more excuse to stay home and drink beer- how Y'all doing?
Feel free to move to California. All my grandparents came from/through Glasgow to New York, I made it as far as So Cal. I look forward to the 10 or 20 days per year that it rains here. How are the 'Gers doing?
It's snowy here in Cincinnati, Ohio! But at least I have to work 10 hours a day so I don't ever see the snow!!!
You do realize that if it was suddenly warm and sunny every day in Scotland, you people wouldn't be able to hold up a conversation. You visit the place and all they do is apologize or bitch about the weather
Scotland was one of my favorite places when I lived overseas for six months. Speaking of rain...we're getting pretty soaked here (San Francisco) this winter. It rains at least every other day, and my office even flooded at one point. We had five inches of rain that day.
Not for long. You guys are going to get hit with a Siberian winter while we Scots will be basking in near tropical heat.
Yeah Global warming is getting worse. Youse lot wont be able to handle the heat and as the saying goes if you cant handle the heat get out of the kitchen.
move to washington - seattle had like 45 days straight rain - I couldn't ever live there. That isn't much better than gray san francisco - so much fog. We have had a lot of rain the last couple of weeks here, the governor of oregon even called the feds for help, although it wasn't serious, but lots of road damage from rivers going to far. Funny thing - my dad drove his beemer on a back road and went into a deep puddle which killed the engine. And I mean the engine is dead and being replaced. What a bummer, err I mean beamer.
Sounds like Ireland Syracuse NY is no better for the freezing rain, never mind the buckets of snow we get here.
The funny thing about SF is that there are neighborhoods which don't get that much fog. It's a unique microclimate thing that happens due to the hills. Surrounding cities don't get much either. I'm just a ten minute drive from SF, and right next to the bay, but we're sunny and warm most of the year. I should post some winter pics...we've got flowers growing year round. I guess it freaks out peopler who grew up with heavy winters, but I love it.
I use to live in Santa Cruz area and I know exactly what you mean - I lived in Scotts Valley and I would leave my house in shorts in the morning and drive to santa cruz and have to change, close the windows on my VW bus and put on a jacket.
