The explanation for life that is given by Atheists(not all) is that we "popped" out of nowhere, poof! It just happened, it's amazing how "nothing" can create something organized and so complex.
Wrong.. My existence is to make the use of my life, the one that I have got. I'm perfectly aware of the fact that the moment my heart stops beating, it is game over for me. So I cherish every single moment I have left. I try to be a better human every passing day. Whats your explanation, waste your time worshiping the unseen unheard super being, and dream of that eternal garden? How original.... Haven't heard that before mate.. where did you get that from?
Not your use of life but where it came from, are you responsible for your existence and the Gardens evolution, what is the authority for making the changes. The Edenist worship nothing and are not necessarily interested in the "Creator", just progressing to the Outerworld of the Everlasting. The physiological form is not its own creation and does not function without thought.
I'm not sure the whole of what Edenists believe in but it sounds more sane than the tails IsraeI spouts off. And you probably have a more sensible set of morals because you don't need to run to a holy book every time you want to the know if something is right or wrong. IsraeI is probably a lot less delusioned than he seems. He's just hiding behind name calling and a poor attempt at reframing us as trolls twisting his words because that's the only way he can walk away with his pride. LOL, this is what theists like to do all the time. They'll say that the reason they (appear) not to make sense is because someone's smearing or blackballing them. The same goes for the argument against evolution. Creationists like Kent Hovind make stupid claims like (paraphrased) "Evolution is an athiest religion, scientists are paid by the goverment to say that evolution is true, the government is run by the devil." of course. And Hovind isn't in jail for tax evation but because the government thinks he's such a potent force in converting people to God that he needs to be stopped. Yeah, make me laugh. Tex Mars has also said the government is shooting lazers at his house and trying to kill him. When a thiest can't win an argument they play the "they're blackballing me" card or "you know how to win arguments". I don't know anyone who believes that. Neither do I. Do some research (Google and YouTube's are great resources), hear some real debates and listen to what Atheists actually believe(it's not a worldview, it's simly a non-belief). For example, try "The Athiest Experience" videos. After 10-20 videos you'll understand why making statements like "you believe something came from nothing" is such a big laugh.
Read what's inside the brackets. See, you have just misrepresented my belief, then attacked it, this is the kind of things you, Stox and TheWebby are good at, it's idiotic for me to waste my time in long discussions, when I could spend that time with someone who does not engage in such evil tactics.
No, we're just honest with ourselves and know why we believe, or disbelieve, in something. I'm just someone who tries my best to use reason when addressing a topic. It has nothing to do with "evil tactics," if it is it's the first time I've heard about them. The problem is, what you're saying doesn't stand the test of a few logical questions--we don't need to use evil tactics to tear things like that apart. Again, like I said, this is a common theme among theists. Play the victem that everyone's blackballing. Just because you can't hold your own ground on your own beliefs, you accuse us of using "evil tactics." No instead you want someone to sit down with you and nod their head at eveything you say, instead of being challenged and having to defend all these crazy ideas you've shown us so far.
You cannot force me to continue a discussion with you Clinton, now if you had been a good boy, that behaved properly I would continue, but unfortunately you ruin it for yourself. There's plenty of people that need my help,I think those who those who actually want to listen and understand deserve more than your likes who are only interested in desperately trying to find faults and use smear tactics in attempt to character assassinate. You don't even acknowledge that I'm being misquoted more than once, you have been attacking things I have never said, which creates this illusion that I have somehow been refuted and put in my place. It's only natural for me to walk away from the insane.
There are many sharp intellects on this forum.Instead of working together to try and decipher who or what our creator is(providing of course that you believe there is even one to begin with)we quarrel over semantics, interpretation of rules, proverbs, writings from an obscure tribe that wandered the Judean desert 5,000 years ago etc.Is this why evolution ultimately gave us this large brain? Are we no better than this? The vulgar name calling and putdowns, while highly inventive and somewhat entertaining,do not promote dialogue. Why can't a degree of civility be adhered to here? Why doesn't everybody just step back a bit and try again?
Different ideologies can't work together Linda. For example, I can not work with some guys knowing that they think a woman is at fault if she gets raped. It's insane and utter garbage. Do you honestly think that we should work 'together' with people who believe if a child is born with no hand, it is probably good because at least now he can not steal? What kind of result would it bring if we start working with guys who think it's perfectly okay to punish a child for mistakes his/her parents did? To find the truth about our creation, to decipher it one has to look for truth and stop believing in the fairytale stories that hold no logic or truth. People can not find the truth when they have already assumed that they know the truth..
@The Webby We all bring our own unique spice to the mix and the result is the flavor we collectively end up with on this forum.I for one would prefer to influence by reasoning as opposed to arguing. This requires discipline and self control.Getting angry will not win the debate.Intelligent back and forth "might".One can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. I'll go about things my way,you your way.I look forward to seeing if I can affect a kind of sense of decorum on here....probably not,but I'm at least willing to give it a try.
It's not anger, at least not as far as I'm concerned.. I don't get angry easily and I wasn't angry, I was just disgusted. The point is, no matter what way you go, you can't reason with someone unreasonable. It's also true that everyone is entitled to have an opinion, but some opinions are just...... what should I call them? Crap? I'm an atheist, I don't follow any religion, I don't believe in God either. I prefer to be a human with a conscience and independent thinking, and that enough for me. Now if there is a god, then may be I'll sent to hell. But I don't care, because my conscience is clear.
@The Webby Don't worry hon,if you're going to hell then I am too.At least you won't be alone huh? Just as well as every tomcat needs a kitty.
Yupp, this pic is funny.. Its really hard to believe that some people can be that ignorant.. Such as the creator of that pic.
Funny, it always amazes me how anyone could believe in that. Nothing creates nothing. Something creates something, and that something is God. It's so easy to understand.
Funny, it always amazes me how anyone could believe in that. Nothing creates nothing. Something creates something, so what created God?
@The Webby Whatever was there, was there always."It" could not have had a beginning. We mortals simply cannot grasp that reality. But what other reality could there possibly be?
