Simply because there are many religions on the earth that oppose each other does not prove, or disprove, anything. Religion, in the topic of God, is irrelevant. Same with there being biological differences between men, women, blacks, and whites. Please explain to me how that proves the in-existence of God, outside of religion. <-- or maybe I have it out of context

    Time!! EXACTLY!

This is what I would like to know:

If time is so important to atheists, because this is the only life they will ever experience, why do they put so much TIME and EFFORT into convincing "Believers" that there is no God?

As people generally act out of self-interest, this is particularly confusing for me.

Atheists, why do you care what other people believe in? Shouldn't you be out living your life instead of debating this in the forum?

My theory is that atheists are scared that they can be wrong, and thus find every way to convince themselves that there is no God so they "don't have to be good."

My other theory is that they are truly looking for a deity, but cannot logically accept it; so therefore they will put their logic to the test and are looking for someone to prove them wrong. --> otherwise, again, shouldn't you be out enjoying yourself?

No, its just my reason to explain the most logical answer to what happens when humans dies.

I personally care less what anyone believes in, as i said, i am just giving my point and logic and sharing it with the world :)

    Ok...
Then explain how the universe and living things came into existence ?
looks like you could kid yourself into believing that no matter what ever you do in this world is not going to be questioned and you will just die like that..Then what explains the vast differences among people ?

There is no God but One, no gods beside Him. We are His slaves.

    59. Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Praise and thanks be to Allâh, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)! Is Allâh better, or (all) that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?" (Of course, Allâh is Better)[].

    60. Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)!

    61. Is not He (better than your gods) Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water). Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Nay, but most of them know not.

    62. Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations. Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Little is that you remember!

    63. Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? High Exalted be Allâh above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!

    64. Is not He (better than your gods) Who originates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who provides for you from heaven and earth? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Say, "Bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful."

I don't know if anyone has seen this or not, but I think it helps the argument for both deism and atheism, and vice versa.

Instead of debating this on the forums just yet, perhaps it would do us good to listen to Doctors debate each other --> then resume here :D

    Anyways,

Pah! Death is such a 20th century concept. When the upcoming singularity of technology and biology is ready, and out, death will become something seen only in major accidents.

Great job at that. You know, with famine, disease, war, and all the wonderful people getting sick. Yeah, great job he's doing ...

... I could do much better.

I suggest you to read Quran. You dont have to believe it. If you have consciousness then you will understand what is life and death. What is god. And what is the reason for your existence. And answer this, can any man create a simple weed???

If you have a logical train of thought, you can see there is no god and you can realize science has most of the answers based on articulatable facts, not faith.

I'm too lazy to check through your posts, but it seems to me that you had promised us immortality, or at least a really long life span, if we would just vote for you to be our new world dictator. Is that offer still good?:)

Something so complex and beautiful as the earth can't have been created by some accident. What about space and beyond? How does science explain what is far far beyond what humans have 'explored'?

Black Holes, stars, planets. These all can't be an accident, something started it of at the begining and it isn't the Big bang :)

Lets think of something alot of people take for granted today... WATER. Yes wel all know about the water cycle etc but who created the very very very first drop? Who created the oxygen and hydrogen for the water? This ALL cannot be one big accident of particles colliding in space... :S

The wisdom of this world is foolishness in the eyes of God.

Only fools say there is no God, the Bible says.

No shit? I thought the bible would say "Stop believing in god!" Come on now, to use the bible as a source of reference is like using Bill O'Reilly's books as a source of reference in support of Bill, or your own mother on a job application.

Well yes, however the way politics work I doubt I could be "elected" into such a position. If given the chance however, the budget would most certainly be beefed in the technological areas, and I would have specific areas of research being funded and run much more efficiently than the rest - although I would strive for the same efficiency for all areas.

Research into the biological aspects of our own anatomy, and how to augment and enhance the ability of cells and humans as a whole is a major part of what I see as a responsible and sound future. Death need not come knocking with age - but as a realist death will come to everyone at some point in time, regardless of biological immortality (that means being able to theoretically live forever in the same body, without aging).

However the advantages of a longer lifespan, extended by hundreds or even possibly thousands of years means that the minds of man can grow smarter exponentially, and because of that, we can figure much more out. Just think about what many people could have done with an extra 50-100 healthy years in the fields of math, science, research and development.

We can do both. Personally, i oppose a belief in god, and more so religion, because it's detrimental to the progression of our species. Religion is the shackles of humanity, trying to drag us back to the dark ages where ignorance and fear provided a comfortable habitat for such a stupid belief. i wouldn't be happy sitting by and letting it spread it's poison without opposition.

As long as there are vile old men telling children they will burn in hell for not believing his story, a story so ridiculous that the children would dismiss it as obviously bollocks if it wasn't accompanied by a threat of torture, there will be people here to say hang on a second, what you said is obviously complete shit.

Do you have any real argument besides a book composed of bronze age fairy tales and myths about having grown men and women have an invisible friend in the sky.

You know what would happen if you told people you had an invisible friend when you were 25? They would laugh at you, and you would have to go see a shrink. Now, call that invisible friend God and all of a sudden it is ok. Reminds me of all religions, especially islam and christianity, nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.
