God damn, scammed!

Meh, I purchased a domain called imgday.com from the owner. I paid him $30 USD via paypal and he said he would push domain. I waited 20 minutes but no response. He didn't even push domain yet. What should I do?

 

Its only 20minutes........maybe he got busy with some stuff . Wait for a while !

 

He's online now...shoot a PM. If no response for a half hour, send a second one with this thread in the subject. I'm sure it will get sorted. This thread seems premature based on what you said, I'd give it a few minutes. But maybe you're in the right. I hope it's just a mix-up. Good Luck.

 

He didn't even reply. He just went of MSN... He was online for 10 minutes after our deal but never replied.

 

Seems fishy. Wait for an hour at least.

It's been an hour now. I talked to him on MSN. I know his username at Talkfreelance. And I have his IP.

 

Did you PM him? If not then do it and then chargeback. This is the only hope you could get your money back.

 

I PMed him. God damn, this is the first time this has happened to me.

 

you'll get used to it on DP, the only time you'll care again if its for a large sum couple hundred lets say. It's sad but true.

using paypal, you can file for a dispute between you and the buyer~hope this helps

I suggest to wait for a day before making charge backs.

 

If it is a big registar(like Godaddy, Namecheap, Moniker, Dotster etc) and he pushed. You should get an email within the hour. Check your bulk mail sometimes it will go there.

I usually wait 1 - 4 hours before raising dust. IF no respose. I would start kicking dirt and throwing stones.(not literally) But enough to bring the buyers attention that I am serious.

Looks like you got scammed, unless you typed the wrong domain name in your original post. ???

 

If your paypal is funded via credit card you can chargeback on the transaction.

 

If you ask me, looks like Heratio is trying to make a quick gain by buying from OcelotJay for $25 and sell it to you for $30. If you look at the time of the postings, it looks like he waited to get your payment first, and then buy from Ocelot. Most probably he's waiting for Ocelot to push the domain to him, then sell it to you.

Of course, all this is based on the assumption that Ocelot sold to Heratio.

 

easiest thing is paypal dispute if you havnt received the push by now.

 

If u havent received the push yet now....it seems that u have been scammed, but since everything occured virtually it will be difficult to get a chargeback....anywayz paypal dispute might help.....Best of Luck
