GoArticles -- It's only a PR3 Site???

In the past I've submitted many articles to GoArticles.com . I have stayed away for over a year and visited the site today for the first time in a long while.

And I noticed..... GoArticles.Com is only a Pagerank 3 site.

Question for discussion: How did this happen?

They're a huge site with several thousand of pages of content. Of course they have lots of natural backlinks.

How come they're only a pagerank 3? Might this have something to do with duplicate content? Do you think it's affected their traffic or position in serps.

    Thoughts?

Yes, it is most definitely duplicate content.

Well if you have quality articles you can submit ezinearticles. Ezine has very good repute.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about PR - it's not the end all be all.

Good backlinks-- They should have thousands. There are "best article submission" lists all over the internet.

Duplicate content -- I knew Google didn't reward you for duplicate content, but I didn't know you got punished for it either.

My guess is that goarticles still has similiar traffic. One of my site was dropped from a pr5 to a pr3 and it still gets rouphly the same amount of traffic. But it may not pass on much pr to your site.

Ezinearticles all the way my friend. In just 1-2 days of getting an article approved it's title ranks front page on google for a slightly competetive keyphrase.
