I have a goal of earning £50,000 by the time I graduate (5 years) through the internet, do you think this is possible or am I setting my sights too high? How could I do it? I dont currently have any websites.
I don't really think the goal is really high but depending on how fast you can learn everything to make a website and heading towards the right direction will help you achieve your goal quickly. There's people out there that makes a lot of money quickly. Matt flipped his blog for somewhere around $13,000 USD just after four months of starting it. If you do everything right, then you can make it in no time.
I know how to make websites and I am pretty good at web design, my problem has always been getting visitors to the site and not knowing the right type of sites to make. Whats the url to Matts blog?
If your good at web design, then you can start designing for people and make a lot of money from that too. Matt's blog that he sold was NetBusinessBlog.com but now his personal blog is MattCoddington.com.
You can definitely do it. Owning a website is not the only way to earn in the internet. You could learn some skills like web designing or programming and you can freelance your work.
I started making proxy websites back in april of this year and this month I am going to make between $600 - $700 profit. ( I have about 50 proxy sites, easy to make a bunch once you have made one) I have another venture which I am going to leave unnamed but I will make about $600 - $800 off of it this month too. I knew how to make websites when I started, and I knew a decent amount about business. What I had no clue about was SEO, which is huge. Although, not as much in the proxy market. Bottom line you goal is not set too high. If you can make 1000 per month then you will hit 50,000 in 5 years, and that even leaves room for several months to build to 1000. Plus in all reality, if you hit a 1000 your likely to continue to increase and make more then that. So you have two great things going for you, and you only need one more to make it. 1.) you have a goal 2.) you already know about Digital Point ( I did not when I started) DP can give you all the info you need. 3. what you need) A good strong work ethic, and to know going into this that it is going to take work, and more work, and then after that its gonna take work. So buckle down and do it. Thomas Edison - he invented the light bulb if you didn't know- said that "It takes 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration." Wrap you head around point 3 and your set. Oh and btw. Be sure to give back. Share your success to encourage others. and share your ideas. Maybe start with a idea, like proxies, that is already known to work. Then prime the pump and get it all going. After you are making a decent passive income of a few hundred per month then keep the pump going with a little bit of effort here and there and focus on a different kind of site. Odds are in learning about proxies, or whatever you choose, you will come across all kinds of other business/website ideas and not be able to work fast enough. I am working on a new site right now - an extensive guide teaching people how to make proxies and make money from them. Then I am going to make a few image host sites. I might make a gaming site, not really sure on that one. But then I have a few vague ideas of some other niches that I would like to get into. Bottom line is I could work 12 hours per day for the next year and never run out of things to do to make money. I am sure I would come across many more in the process too. There are tons of blogs that are about making money online. Make a book mark folder for your browser and start organizing. TRASH any website that is about "get rich quick" cause the only person that will be doing that is them, not you. Don't pay for the knowledge as a rule. If you have to pay for it, then its probably trash. There is too much free stuff out there. Besides real people like to brag about their accomplishments and to encourage others, and they don't charge for it. (there are some reputable sites that charge for good knowledge, but they are too rare and you don't need them to start) So there ya go. Go get it. Read, Read, Read, and then take a break and then read some more. Then set to work. Oh, one other good tip would be to make DP your home page. Hope this random info helps. MAtt Edit - Smack!
