I'm beginning to learn HTML and already purchased a pretty basic HTML book, well I'm finished with that one, now it's time for another. I'm going to take a stroll in my home away from home Barnes and Noble later today. Anyone have any suggestions as to which book would be best for basic-intermediate web design?

It's HTML and XHTML step by step. By Microsoft Press.

I have also seen a useful one, HTML in a nutshell, quite comprehensive. The HTMLDog site also do a book I have seen. The site is www.htmldog.com - this covers HTML & CSS.

Also, probably your best friend as you embark on your HTML/CSS adventure are going to be the HTML and CSS cheat sheets available from: ilovejackdaniels(dot)com

I've used them as a quick-reference and they are indispensable!

Best of luck on your journey, it's really not that hard once it clicks and then you'll never forget it, kind of like riding a bicycle the first time - keep at it, it's so rewarding!

    I'll second Maujor's book. It's great, and it's SEMANTIC.
