Go Daddy Domain Forwarding?

Discussion in 'Domains' started by liwei, Oct 16, 2005.

I'm trying to use the Go Daddy domain forwarding facility and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't forward the domain. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and found a solution, is to do with the server setup?

..but this belongs in the domains section right? Glad to hear you haven't had a problem with them, looking for people who did and then found the solution...

There is also up to a 24 hour delay when forwarding sometimes at godaddy.

i have had problems with GD domain forwarding before.

    especially when forwarding to SEDO.

in the past, i have "deleted" the domain from SEDO, set the DNS at GD back to GD, and started all over a few days later.

GD refused to acknowledge any problem when i inquired.

Sometimes you run out of credits for this. Just send an email to GD stating the problem.

Depending on how much type-in traffic your domain recieves godaddy will delay forwarding to reap the rewards of their own ppc parking page that displays before forwarding has started.

Theory..... but the domain I registered which had the highest type-in traffic took the longest.

Sneaky I know but the only explanation I could put together.

    Any Views on this?
