I have posted a few articles on Go Articles. Well none of the links in the footer of the Article are showing up as backlinks to my sites? And it has been at least 3 months. What gives?
It is not necessary that every article you post on any article sites shows in your backlink list. This is the case not only with Goarticles.com but also with other big article sites like EZA. Check you webmasters tool and see if these links are listed there or not.
Huh. Maybe they didn't consider you when they were designing their site. Next time they will know to consult you first.
Gee thanks for that little golden nugget. My point is that "we" submit to article sites for the backlinks. And I have yet to seen one coming from Go Articles!
It's not a big deal if a link does not show up in your backlinks. Google only shows a sample of your backlinks. This sample is not the only links that Google is counting. Those goarticles links are still likely helping your rankings on most major search engines. Article directory links can also result in direct traffic or someone could republish your article via goarticles. It's a good trade off for taking 10 seconds to copy and paste your article info.
Hmm... you submit to article sites to inform people and get noticed. That is like saying you only comment on blogs that are DoFollow.
I think we submit to article directories for both backlinks and for traffic both. But i think the OP is very much interested in backlink. may be google is counting it but is not showing it.
did you check to see whether the articles are indexed or not? i myself am not a very big fan of goarticles as i see that most of the times the aproved/posted articles don't get indexed by itself on google unless you work to get them indexed
I am just talking about my own experience here but I have several goarticles.com links showing as backlinks in my webmaster tool! I did had some backlinks to the articles though maybe that why they show as backlinks in google?
