   Would this Gnu Free Documentation license http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html allow someone to put the software on CD's and sell them as part of a package?
   I think so but wanted to check.

   yes. why not. they do it themselves. they sell CDs of images of those derivatives of Linux. the software is free. but the cds aren't
