Not always, I know a lot of internet ignorant people, my clients are among them, that just don't get it. They use a hotmail address because they either don't have their own domain or they don't understand the concept of using their own domain for email. I never cease to be amazed.
Well Shawn, you are selling to internet service providers, so I can see your point, but you do not see mine. Outside of your industry (Computing) folks do not have the technology base that is the norm inside the trade. I know I have seen some newsletters and companies that will not send or let you download a PDF file to a public email address, so I guess that we need to find some middle ground here.
Yep... since you need a real email to signup for Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail, it means that people have a real email address that they can use if they want to buy something from us.
Shawn, when I signed up for my first Email address with Yahoo 5 years ago, I did NOT have a email address, bet you wish I would have never got online now? So not everyone has a email address or a website, listen maybe that guy that just won 200 million in the powerball lottery has a Yahoo address he or she just got yesterday. The moral of the story is Shawn, you do not really know who you are talking to most of the time (Jed Clampet as an example) so you should not be quick to judge folks, don't fret the small stuff, you may hurt yourself. You ever hear the saying ________ the dumb shit! I guess I just blew my case for not accepting Gmail, I guess you just should not put confidential info into these accounts. Who knows, in the end we all seem like fools, things changing so damm fast, can't keep up with what is good or bad anymore.....
Got an invite for gmail a couple of days ago. Didn't really see the big point, but after reading this thread I guess I will at least give it a look. I can't believe people are actually SELLING these invites on ebay. Geir
I dont know, ive been messing around with Gmail all day, and although the email thread functions are nice, I can't see myself switching to using it as a primary source any time soon.
