Do not use GMail. If you use GMail, you probably are a student anyhow and your emails are mostly garbage and meaningless.

    i.e. 'd00dz... yo see da n3w britn3y CEEDEE y0?'

If you are an established business or an adult, use a proper POP3 account. Pure and simple.

Well that goes without saying, I use a yahoo account for personal e-mail though.

I've been using gmail for quite some time now and I prefer it over my old Hotmail account. Its intuitive way of managing emails (by labeling & 'rating' them) and stacking up replies like instant messages is very useful to a chaotic person with a bad memory like myself. All I'm missing is a simple DELETE button.

I still have 3 invites left which I'm gonna swap for some crazyness at gmailswap.com 8^p

The only thing Gmail did for me was improve my 20+ yahoo accounts so I will never need to use the GSPYMAIL program.

I do thank Google for that.

Now I have so much storage on my Yahoo accounts plus they do not scan my mail to put ads on it, so I thank Google for this improvement in the Yahoo email system, they just made Yahoo Better, thats all.

As far as hurting Yahoo, how can they do this when the Yahoo program is 100 times better now than it was before spymail was introduced?

Do you know that it might not be Bill Gates Blocking Gmail, don't you think there will be many software companies coming out with Gmail Blocking software.

Many users will block these messages themselves, many will not send a message to a G-mail account.

Agreed, just like many don't send to Yahoo or Hotmail (like me personally).

True. Hotmail/Yahoo/AOL + mobile phone only orders trigger our fraude alarms too.

Why will you not send a message to a Yahoo address? Or Hotmail?

Because anyone that uses it for business correspondence is hiding something.

Come on Shawn, I have been using 20 some Yahoo address for the last 5 years.

No one has ever mentioned that they were afraid that I was hiding behind a Yahoo account.

I know a lot of Big time executives that have Yahoo addresses and used them over their website addresses.

For example, I forward all of my URL's on the threads I post on to one of my Yahoo addresses, so they can be used for different things.

I send duplicate copies of my quotes to customers to another so all of my quotes are filed at that email address.

Now with 100MB free they will become of more use to users.

Maybe computer geeks like you and those in your industry would look down on using a email address like that Shawn, but the everyday business user would never think about the hiding idea.

I'm sure there probably are legitimate users using them. But they are definitely the minority. Digital Point Solutions for one, will not sell software to anyone using a hotmail, yahoo (or gmail when the time comes) account (among some others).
