I like yahoo mail better because its integrated into yahoo messenger. The messenger checks the mail on a regular basis, and a notification pops up just above the taskbar that I have new mail. Then you just click the notification, a new browser window opens and takes you straight to your email account.

You can setup yahoo messenger to log you straight into your yahoo mail. That way you do not have to enter the username and password. Its all very easy to use. And that is what I want - easy.

Gmail is the best but one problem with gmail. We have no option to create folder and save our mails inside the folder like yahoo. Overall much better than others.

It's interesting question. I also use both also, and I have to say both was really good. If you choose to see nice design and layout, you will choose Yahoo mail. But if you want something simple, clean and fast, you should use Google mail. Yahoo mail was loaded with a lot of advertisement, that can make you mad when open your e-mail using slow connection.

Gmail is set up better then Ymail, but Gmail has its problems.

    1) no folders, that's an important feature (I know about labels but they aren't the same for me)
    2) hard to get unread old messages over a month or so
    3) load issues , especially if you have slow net

One big difference is Yahoos new email features like drag and drop and the outlook-like feel they got. It's something gmail should look into.

However, 8 out of 10 I'd pick gmail over yahoo (as I would for almost any google product over yahoo).

Yes, thats true... gmail is really suffering from these issues, Outlook and accessibilty is great but the loading time is really a problem and has to be taken care of....

Yahoo mail sucks - you need to pay for a simple thing like mail redirecting... what a nonsense...

Actually.. the only down-side of Gmail is how they read the content of your emails and modify their sponsored listings accordingly!
