    I would definitely choose gmail over yahoo. I find gmail very easy, fast and secure to use than Yahoo. Also, there are lots of features that gmail have compare to yahoo, most specially the gmail labs and themes. :)

    I would have to give my vote to Yahoo. It would be the only vote they get from me cause I hate everything else they offer.

    I have been using yahoo only for messenger but for mailing Gmail is simply fast, secure and stunning as far as performance measures are concerned.

    Gmail goes with Simplicity
    Yahoo Stands for Fully-Loaded

    So depends upon each of everyones self requirement !!
    Both are equal on their own standards !!

    I would say google all the way.

    Yahoo is better for sending more emails. I think it's 200/day where as google is only like 50!

    Also, with google, there is that trick to get 150 email addresses in a flash. All you have to do is put +1 at the end of your name. You can put +2 +3 +4 and so on right upto 150. I found this useful when posting on cl and gumtree. All the emails go to the original email too.

    For example;

    thebreadwinner+1@gmail.com
    thebreadwinner+2@gmail.com
    thebreadwinner+3@gmail.com
    right up to...
    thebreadwinner+150@gmail.com

    it's pretty cool.

    @ vishenda
    In Gmail, you have filters & labels option, which is much better than Folders option og Yahoomail

    Since google introduced gmail, I switched to gmail from yahoo mail. At that time, gmail offers far more better file size that yahoo. Now, I'm still stick to gmail.
